Uri, 05 Feb 2014You don't need megapixels. You need quality. 8MPix is enough.one problem, some years back you iphone fans said that 2mpix were enough and perfect, and led flash was stupid and useless. How did you get from there to "8 mpix and TWO LED flashes is the best". Quite amusing if you ask me, just as amusing as the flamewars appleboys would start to inform us that 320x480 display resolution was the best. You know, funny as it is, it still doesnt make any sense whatsoever. Except ofcourse if the explanation was that you are just full of something of a certain scent?

The sensor size is more important. You can have the aperture size the size of mount Everest and it wont improve a thing if the sensor is tiny.

Given Iphone's midget sizes can't expect much in terms of sensor sizes.

Thank you for not playing the megapixel game, Apple. 8 MP is perfect for most users. 13/15/18/20 MP is overkill, not to mention too demanding on the available storage and people's data plans. Like processor cores, more pixels does not equal better results. It's simply a marketing strategy, especially when few improvements are expected on the SoC front this year.

Primary Camera from 8MP to 10MP & Secondary Camera from 1.2MP to 1.8MP. So much improvement! Not expected from Apple!
Already, they are working on increasing the display from 4" to something more.
Apple can't afford so much improvements in one cycle.
May be a minor upgrade & just change from 5S to 6. Nothing more than that.
We can see this may be in 7 or 7S.

I am not an apple fanboy or anything but I do not notice any significant difference in picture quality between my 2mp SonyERicsson 880 handset and my more recent handsets (Xperia S, BB Z10 etc.). This is not to diss these phones either. I realise that I would almost never print the pictures I take and they would most likely only be viewed on phones screen, ipad or pc. So the difference between 10mp and 13mp may not be any real use on a day to day basis.

AnonD-78383, 05 Feb 2014I'm shocked there not using 13MP or higherYou should get over the megapixel thing. The 5s only has an 8 megapixel camera while the GS4 has a 13 megapixel one. Yet general consensus is that the 5s takes better pictures. There are more to cameras than just the megapixel number they put on paper.
