Low light is the same old poor showing as with all non Lumia phones. The more well light shots are about average nothing outstanding to be honest. Since this sensor is used by a lot of other phones as well, it is all down to the software optimizations to improve image processing along with the maybe the robustness of the images processing DSP used.

Great detail level @50MP! Ok, not on all samples, but i'm really impressed with that train photo! I hope they do a proper marketing, the phone deserves it.

Looking at 0.3mp (640x480) image certainly helps understanding weather I needed that 50mp feature...

8 mp cameras from elite brands are still better.

I saw other samples prior to these ones and I can conclude, based on this "beta" software, that the Lumia 1020/808 are still much better camera phones.
I'm glad that Oppo is moving things forward for Android but still not there yet in terms of camera quality. Why can't they use bigger sensors like Nokia does? Yes it's possible. They're so afraid of adding a bump to the phone. I like those bumps, it makes the phone stand out and unique.

Well, I went to the linked site, translated it to English, but, when viewed larger, there appears to be a LOT of compression noise, and some purple fringing, and some blur. What would be a better comparison would be a side by side of the photo, with another photo taken with a traditional smartphone. Hopefully, these were "beta software" photo, because to me, as a photographer, they didn't look that good. I have high hopes, because this and about 3 other devices are in the running to replace my Note1.

I sincerely don't think these are the real samples, they should be at least 4mb big

edit: these are thumbnails of the real photos

It's um, incredibly difficult to tell from these low-res samples.
