OK, followed the links and my opinion is :
Colour and lighting are very accurate but that's not 50MP photos as the zooming-in shows great loss in details.
4K video is impressive on the other hand,image and sound top notch.
i'll wait eagerly for the GSMarena's hands-on review

Android Authority has covered the 50MP aspect in detail. It seems very very good.
But the 2K screen version has very low contrast ratio. Screen looks washed out.

Love the Chinese marketing angle. Everything that is 3 MPX is considered HD and now 12 .7 MPX is 50 MPX.

Hopefully the manufacturer will release 50MP samples sometime.
Still, it's better the samples that were provided here on this site. So thanks for that.

Really? What an arrogant claim.... 13MP = 50MP????? Ah.... No.... It's like saying the Renault Twingo has the same top speed as a Pagani Zonda.... Preposterous!!!! OPPO you are seriously making yourselves look very STUPID! As you have NOTHING competitive in the Camera Department! Just like HTC with their "ULTRAPICKELS".... This one will be an EPIC FAIL... You want 50mp like quality.... DO YOUR RESEARCH LIKE WHAT NOKIA DID WITH THEIR 41mp line up... STUPID COMPANY WITH THEIR STUPID CLAIMS.... 13MP = 50MP... Useless Camera...Dynamic Range is very low...lot of negative space in the image.

When will they use another or make a deal with another company. No offense but Sony sensors for smartphones are not that good (except daylight + sun). I really like their digital cameras and DSLRs though!
They are hardly improving in the smartphone camera quality world, and that includes the Z1/Z2. I don't mean terrible results, I mean results that can't match the quality of some Lumia phones.

Well, it's like a panorama photo but stitched in two directions. I wonder why nobody thought of this before, so at least some compliments should go to Oppo for the idea. Good thinking.

But the sensor is still only a 13MP, while 1020 is oversampling from a 41MP sensor to 5MP. Oppo is doing the other way round! How can that be good?

You guys need to understand that there samples were resized. They aren't the full 50MP photos. The comment section is getting poorer around here..

weeeh !!!!what processor is using?does it support the said 50mpx camera?based on the sample photos above I dont think so its 50MPX. mybe on nokia pure view true 41mpx cmera but not OPPO find 7
