Im using Ascend Mate and using Windows 8 Launcher with LG lockscreen... I like the tiles... Huawei's EmotionUI is almost as simple as iOS and WP. To each preference I guess. I might try a Lumia but only if...

You know, for all the advancements, it bemuses me as to why no windows phone will provide the user with a basic choice of keyboards. Eg: alphanumeric key pad for messaging. Not everyone wants to push and tap every single minuscule letter. Alpha numeric is much larger by nature and is very fast at messaging. Please do include this, then maybe we could buy.

Bye Nokia & go to hell Microsoft mobile. Microsoft made a great mistake by changing Nokia's name. I can ensure people in South Asia will get confused for sure. People loves Nokia because of it's name. Microsoft will be just like a lilliput in mobile industries. Thanks to Samsung at least making user friendlies phones. I hope tizen won't be like iOS & Windows OS(Jail).

There's no doubt that this is a 'watershed' moment...
Nokia who we've all grown up with and whether we've liked them or not - they played a pivotal role in how mobile phones have developed over the years.
Unfortunately, like so many companies - they fell foul to complacency, didn't move with the times, didn't see the trend of apps and a more user-friendly operating system... and as such got sidelined as a result...
This isn't the fault of Microsoft - they saw an opportunity - remember - without their money - Nokia would have been bankrupt years ago.. yes of course they ran Nokia into the ground and we all knew this was going to happen - but the fault lies with Nokia's management...
Going forward, as an owner of Sammy for the past 4-5 years (and Android for longer) - I'm now ready for a change, I guess as you get a bit older, you want different things from your phone... I used to love changing my themes / customising and rooting my Android phones... nowadays I want something a bit cleaner / smoother / etc. (and a fantastic camera) - and so that's why I'll be getting the 1820 when it's announced...
:/

Symbian is daddy of all OS's, A true Mobile Phone OS. No phone can take the place of those legendary phones which had Symbian running on them. Nokia will always be remembered and Ericsson And Sony Ericsson too.
