Chona, 17 Mar 2009You are wrong. You are the one who's going crazy over the i... morei can see now you are a crash dummy. first of all nokia has a different ui then apple in why would they copy apple for seening they own 40% of the market. been successful for quite some time and you trying to compare iphone with the intro nokia 5800 is quite silly, seening nokia clearly stated it's a intro phone. compare it to the n97 and see where it stacks up. for as copying, was'nt apple the one who copy from the prada when it release it's first iphone? i have the 16g white version which i'm trying to sell as soon as the n97 is release in the states which has better specs(a real all in one phone might i add)upgrade is free but some of the new features you do have to pay for as usual. therefor i'm not wrong

roosevelt, 17 Mar 2009you need to stop lieing about the scratch proof glass, caus... moreThe glass display on the iphone is indeed scratch proof under normal usage. Screen protector is available for ADDED protection, but you don't really need one. HTC display would scratch by merely using it's stylus, lol.

roosevelt, 17 Mar 2009wow!!!! it amazes me how the iphone owners are going crazy ... moreYou are wrong. You are the one who's going crazy over the iphone 3.0 OS, lol. We're just happy and excited that we're finally getting more features ON TOP of the already great features that the iphone has. And again you are wrong, you do not have to pay for these features. You can update for free. Those missing features are also known here in the US for years, so don't say that we are over reacting over this like it's our first to learn about these features. Are you nuts? And oh please, Nokia is totally copying the iphone and Apple's ideas. They even came up with their own OVI store which would be the App Store counterpart, so please. But you know what? I say good for Nokia that they going that direction. I support them for that.

You see "FREE" means you don't pay for it.

Unless you own an iPod Touch which isn't a phone.

Obviously to make money selling something that's pretty pointless to people who think they need it.

I had one that came with a silicone case I dumped it ages ago it was annoying and just collected dirt, like the silicon case which I also dumped, it made it too fat almost as thick as a 5800.

Did it ever occur to you that a lot of features on phones are not really being used regularly? I've had phones that had front cameras for video calling and I don't recall ever using it once. I seldom to none used MMS because it can be costly. Most iphone owners were aware of what's missing with the iphone but bought it anyway because we knew that we can avail of firmware updates that might include some of those missing features for free, and again, because those missing features are not that important to us, and that what the iphone offers outweighs its missing features. With other phones, you have to buy a new unit to get most of its improvements. Not with the iphone. So yes, we do not mind its price because for us it's worth it.

The problem is that most of power users (that we are into gadgets, read these posts, etc) love the iphone, its interface, smoothness, quickness, hardware, looks, etc. But the iphone is, for price-specs point of view, a smartphone that competes with the big babies of HTC, Nokia, Samsung, etc, and WE WOULD LOVE switching to the iphone, but we wait, and wait for the funtions that true high-end smartphones from those brands offer. But the iphone remains a fancy feature-phone (but it is not, it's a smartphone). And we know that all those limitations are based on whims and/or marketing of Apple. And while we wait that this precious beauty becomes of age (and a really capable machine) without any luck, we see so much hype and fuzz, that it's the best, and so on, but we know it's not (but it could be, if it weren't so closed). That's the origin of so much love/hate. In other words, we all dream for the perfect machine (at least of a certain period of time). And while the iphone has its big pros, the lack of some basic and important funtions in a high-end smartphone are deal breakers. For those not requiring them, then iphone is a great deal.
