Overheating S4 caused this. It changed my mind about samsung phones. I certainly consider about other brands for next phone.

Okay I think Apple has lost some market share, but I don't think it's significant since their products are expensive and that should enough for them to generate revenue.

Samsung lost its market share by less than 1% and other hardly gain 1% yet this is somehow a total disaster for Samsung? Are you kidding, given a fact that their products are not desirable as iphone, I'm surprised they are holding well against its rivals.

On contrary, this is a great victory for Samsung. They increased their shipment by 10 million units whilst other struggle to ship just 10 million.

AnonD-397, 30 Apr 2014What lose? 1 procent? Total nonsense! You do realize that even a single percent in too much competitive crowded market matters a lot especially when it's already losing grounds in many places....

I've lived with Lenovo's flagship for a year now. It was exciting and it felt like good value at the beginning. Now it just feels like a cheap phone.

It's surprisingly poorly made, even though it's (cheap) stainless steel. I even opened it and it is made so poorly, it is unlike any other decent phone I've seen.

I had a couple of Galaxies before, which were buggy, cheap looking, but compared to the Lenovo are amazingly well-made.

Apple seems to have the best workmanship of these three and right now, I feel it's worth the premium.

Lenovo is aimed more at the Third World and maybe at the near-do-well nerds in the West. It's garbage.

I bought Lenovo in Indonesia and have found it to be be really compromised in terms of signal response and clarity - everyone complains. It is slow and also cannot run enough apps. The big problem is crappy signal - I have gone back to Blackberry where I never had such bad problems with the same carrier. Going for a Z3 cheap mobile. Everyone is saying is craps on the Lenovo and cheap Chinese mobiles. A cheap Chinese phone might look good but do not deliver,

Great to know people react; Apple has always been "the villain that charges more" because of it's premium-only policy but making people realize their "savior", Samsung, is worse is quite a victory.

AnonD-50755, 29 Apr 2014After all that tough mass destruction caused by Microsoft, ... moreIt's not Microsoft that destroyed Nokia's phone division. It's Nokia which had destroyed Nokia. They didn't update their software on timely basis and hence, they lost the market. Now we can only hope with the finance and software skills of Microsoft and quality hardware of Nokia, we will be able to see a real worthy top competitor. A pioneer will remain a pioneer.

The second-tier manufacturers have started giving out competition to the top dogs. Sadly, Nokia, my most favorite manufacturer is no more in the MOBILE BUSINESS.
I am considering the OnePlus One as a secondary phone because of the insanely cheap flagship phone.

After all that tough mass destruction caused by Microsoft, Nokia is still ranked as the world second largest phone manufacturer.
I guess if Nokia adopted Android in 2011, it would have had at least 60% worldwide market share today.
