Another victory for Samsung. Even though profits are down sales are going through the roof. I feel sorry for Apple though, just a few years ago they were leaders in the industry. The bigger they are the harder they fall. Samsung is next. BlackBerry, Apple and Nokia proved no fairytale lasts forever.

I got first samsung device ever last year s4, and what can i say, best smatphone I ever had, screen, camera, speed everything top notch, before I had xperia play, nokia n series phones, iphone 3g, nothing comes close, samsumg the best

Because they are clever and make phones for all types of people and all types of incomes. Not like others who make phones only for the "better off". Plus they penetrate other markets like the African market while other manufactures feel their products are "too good" for the African market.

At least the situation is quite a bit better than when Nokia were at the same spot. Samsung at least tries different types of devices, and keep up with new trends. Nokia just plowed on and tried to convince consumers that since nokia was that dominant, if they didnt do a product, no one wanted it (making the competition struggeling to be noticed).
Whats worse is the OS situation. New OSes are in a hopeless situation, where sideloading android apps, is pretty much the only way to get apps. It takes much much longer for a OS to loose it's dominance than for a manefactuer (unless that manefacteur is the only one with that OS).

Absolutely not! Samsung is really the best smartphone manufacturer in the world (generally speaking) but this year, I was quite disappointed with the Galaxy S5! Because I was absolutely expecting that they will include the QHD DISPLAY, 3GB RAM & 32GB internal storage (starting from) and now I will have to wait for the LG G3 or S5 prime! To switch from my S4! !!!!!!!

No surprise here. Samsung has ten variants of a particular model and most of low and mid range phones with crappy hardware quality from Samsung account for 10-15 percent of the market share they have.

But fact is that countries like Indonesia (4th most populous country on earth) are overrun by Samsung. There, the average income earner will buy a medium to low-end Samsung device.

This is because of Samsung's responsibility to alll kinds of customers and reasonable prices. Samsung has many kinds of models depending on your pocket size and easily accessible every where. Another thing is reasonable price of phones. Next important thing is innovation new technologies .SUPER AMOLED screen technology is the one example. Samsung is not just mobile producer but also main parts supplier to other companies. For example every iphone has Samsung processor that is the most important part and most expensive part of iphone. Similarly nand flash memory also important part that Apple uses of Samsung.

Samsung devices are user friendly and meets most of its client's needs world wide. An example some devices connect to internet via WiFi only, wheres Samsung tabs gives you all options available (power is in your hands typo thing).
