Sammy ships more low end devices than flagship devices.

There should be another breakdown to compare the flagship devices market share!

For sure Sammy will be in the last position!

The Top 5 flagship smart devices makers are:

            1) Apple - iPhone (5S,5C)
            2) HTC- One (M8 & One Max)
            3) Sony - Xperia (Z, Z Ultra)
            4) LG - G (G2, GPro 2)
            5) Sammy - S5, Note 3

Samsung has a large market share because of so many low and midrange phones. I wonder if you survey the flagship phones of Q1 vs apple, what would be the percentage of the market share? Im interested to know about this

AnonD-134497, 01 May 2014So, they lose around 1.2% market share comparing to Q1, 201... moreI think it will take a couple more years to get close to saturation. The loss of market share of companies such as Samsung and Apple comes from increase in maximum market share and other small competition entering the developing but large markets like China.

Of course they did. They're spamming the market so hard. Most of their phones are just the same.

The 40.5% is significant, it doesn't matter if 1 or 20 companies have 40.5% of the market you don't have its still lost market share.

No surprise since they produce more smartphones than major competition combined.

I would like to see the contribution of S5 in this figure when the market share went down 1.2% from 32.4% to 31.2%.

So, they lose around 1.2% market share comparing to Q1, 2013 but still leading. Thus, it proves that smartphones market has really moved towards the saturation point...
