This covers everything from the low end, low margin phones to top of the line. Apple, to take an example, caters only for those in the high end smart phone, even their 5C, still carries a high value to customers. To take a proper look at how well the market is, you need to extrapolate each of the various models and their respective target markets.

My answer is LG G Pad 8.3. Take note Sammy. It costs less than $300 and has premium build and is better than all of your tablets except Galaxy Note Pro and Tab Pro which cost more than twice of it. It has snapdragon 600 with adreno 320 and 2GB RAM! LG for good products. It made me realise how Sammy gives customers sh*t products for premium prices!

Samsung gives biggest share of profit to sellers....
Others like Nokia got less profit margin.... So sellers push samsung on d face of customers.... True story.

This is because Samsung straddles in market like a colossus--serving from the lowest end to highest end, no other manufacturer has the range like Samsung with hundereds of smartphone models starting from $ 100 to $ 900..

Not a surprise. Samsung have many variants of products cater for almost all level of users. But they can do better if S5 do better. A little disappointed with S5.

Surprised? No. This is to be expected. When a company releases functional, feature-rich devices, they are going to sell. Samsung is the best at this. Hands down.

Only Apple can compare at sale, with Samsung's S5 and Note 3(with iPhone5S,5C) , but iPhone5S,5C are not in high-end category at all.
Any of those are far, far, far behind:
HTC- One (M8 & One Max)
Sony - Xperia (Z, Z Ultra)
LG - G (G2, GPro 2)
By the way even Samsung's Mega, Grand...and some more, are not less "high-end" than iPhone5S,5C.
