This is no way to treat your customers SAMSUNG. We bought S3 thinking that it could be the best deal. But now it seems quite the opposite. We are hoping for an update that will at least fix our battery problem with s3.

how come other brands can come up with phones with 1gb ram and running kitkat out of the box and samsunng cannot. also many other small timers having updates to 4.4 for their phones with only 1 gb ram. thus, the reason of having only 1gb ram in s3 i9300 as limitation for not upgrading to 4.4 kitkat is crap.
samsung is just too lazy to care for its customers forcing its faithful followers to switch to other brands.
samsung should know this that majority of its customers have already switched to other brands and the remaining will also soon if this type of customer relation ship continues.
its this same reason samsung's new phones like note3 and s5 are not so successful, because people know that they will be abandoned soon, thus no point shelling out so much for a phone which will soon be forgotten by its creator themselves.

mk, 03 Jul 2014When the recently announced Galaxy Ace 4 which has only 512... moreThe answer is very simple. Those phones already come with a stripped-down version of Touchwiz to be able to run on 512MB of RAM. Plus, screen res is lower. They certainly can't remove features to Touchwiz just to upgrade current S3s to KitKat. I sort of agree with Samsung's move. S3s won't catch fire without KitKat, they will continue to run well.

When the recently announced Galaxy Ace 4 which has only 512 MB RAM can have Kitkat version, then why cant the Galaxy S3, which has more juice than any of your recent releases (Ace 4, Core 2, etc.)....SCAMSUNG!!!

Samsung did a VERY BIG MISTAKE on not rolling out Kitkat update for S3 International Version. Its your best selling brand but then you disappointed a lot of S3 users. How come Motorola and Sony can run Kitkat on their phone with 1gb ram only ? C'mon Samsung make some move, or else you will lose a lot of S3 users and go to Sony phones !

AnonD-227683, 13 May 2014 If you are the Galaxy S III users on Sprint then we have ... moreWell gordon...thats coz the sprint version of the s3 comes with 1.5 GB of RAM, nevertheless its a lame excuse from Samsung that Kitkat wont run on 1 GB version...Sony is willing to roll out 4.4 for devices running the same specs and lower...dunno why samsung wont.

I have never seen such a backlash against a company as I have now. Samsung have made a big, BIG mistake with this and has vastly underestimated the feelings of their loyal users. This could hit them where it hurts them the most - in their profits.
