Samsung you suck!!!! Google had claimed that kitkat is designed for phones that have 500 MB RAM and you give this shit reasons, remove your waste apps and bloatware which the customer doesn't need then it will automatically support. So please don't give us this nonsense

We all know that its possible to run Kitkat on a device with 1 Gb of Ram, just remove some Bloatware that u bundle with ur stupid Touchwiz GUI and there u go...but samsung doesnt want that to happen. Eventually someone will come up with a mod or a custom ROM and we all will end up having to root our device for this..but ShameSung will not bow down to their customers

When kit kat got released S3 was only 1.5 years old. So for me it's pathetic not to upgrade it.
2 Years should be the mimimum time Flagship models should get updates.

We all said this would happen and it has - in googles own words they said that KitKat was developed for devices with as little ram as 512mb. At the end of the day s3 has had a good update life as its now over 2 years old meaning that most people who have them will now be out of warranty so rooting is an option. I wonder if in another years time Samsung will be saying 2gb ram isn't enough for s4 to be updated.

Doesn't matter - my i9300 already has a KitKat rom. I've been using 4.4.2 since temasek released his CM 11 rom.
