Guys I have not yet received kitkat update for my Sony Xperia z in India ( kerala). My phone was purchased from UAE, so I'm confused, does the kitkat update depend upon this or my current location only, or is there something wrong with my phone??I'm confused.. l also came to know that Xperia z kitkat update has not yet hit UAE.

xperia z india , 15 Aug 2014after the 0.2 mb update... now camara shortcut on lock scre... moreafter the 0.2mb update,i still have the camera shortcut key on the homescreen

New firmware (10.5.1.A.0.283) certified for the older Xperia Z series, could it be Android 4.4.4?
A new firmware update with build number 10.5.1.A.0.283 has been certified by the PTCRB website for a number of handsets including the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z.
There is a good chance that this new build will bring Android 4.4.4. A recent schedule update from Australian carrier Telstra confirmed that the Android 4.4.4 platform update was heading to the Xperia Z. Whatever this update turns out to be, it should start rolling within a few weeks.
