Even when im talking to other Android users and explain the negatives regarding the OS they get all defensive and aggresive the same could be said for all Fanboys as you state. But yeah i do agree that all users of any mobile should get together and as all Manufactures care about is profit. And the reason as to why i dont choose Apple is not because of brand or price but because they dont appeal to me due to useability.

Just to add some fuel on the debate here.Android with all their flashy devices still FAIL big time with touch, audio and general lag.. they have massive issues that they cannot fix, OpenSL ES, Java issues still plague all the latest Android flagships.. this is where IOS massacres all of them. When apple do something it works 100% of the time, such as the camera APIs. Quality doesn't come cheap, its a cost...

Try getting that with an Android (Or Apple fanboy). If you talk to an Apple fanboy, you will hear less about how good Apple is, but more on how sucky Android is am I right? They tend to be negative.

For me, its time that Android and Apple (and WP etc) fans, who have mutual respect for one another, to denounce fanboyism aka the stupid crowd.

Apple will sue Nokia for copying camera abilities and then sue octopuses for the 8 tentacles.

Annon, 19 Jun 2014Just by your comment i would say your an Apple fanboy, usin... moreI am an Apple fan, and have been since 1985. I differentiate between 'fans' and 'fanboys'.

Fans can speak about both pros and cons of their favourite brand, as well as pros and cons of rival brands.

Fanboys can speak only about pros of their brand, and cons of other brands.

              Fair definition?

By this definition, I am an Apple fan. I love Apple because of their design, their 'whole view' to interface and eco-systems and solutions, and their constant striving for minimalism and design polish. Just because I like this, doesn't mean I hate Android.

I am a fan of the HTC M8, I love the Moto 360 which I am most probably going to get.

I love the PS3, but currently undecided if I should go with PS4 or XBox One. I love Audi, but doesn't mean I hate BMW.

For me, if you can dish out dirt, you should be able to take it too.

Recording guitars with iPhone. Three methods.

Not many on Android know about this, because the architecture of Android to this day, does not allow such stuff. iOS users have been able to create content for years. Plug in guitar and go, mobile studio in your pocket.

All sounds here are from the iPhone and software.

                  Garageband: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNSroiakLhg

Not saying Apple is superior, but to me variety is king, it allows for greater competition, which means greater choice for consumers.

I am an iPhone fan, but planning to buy a Moto 360 watch, unless the iWatch can be better designed, which at the moment I doubt.

Don't limit yourself by limiting your choice, no one forced that upon you. We are the users, and in the end we are the ones determining the fates of these companies. Choose what is best for you, and let others choose what is best for them.

Before you say im any kind of fanboy i have no aligence to any manufacturer other than one when my upgrade comes which is the best phone. And through the 5-6 years I,ve owned one Iphone has never been at the forefront other than LG and HTC. Thats what i think personally anyway.

The problem I face these days is that Android fanboys are too easily owned, as their fortress of so called 'advantages' have disappeared beneath their feet.

Most of the best Android users I know, mainly talk about the strengths of Android, and can in the same breath also speak of the strengths of rival OS's. Just because you prefer A, doesn't mean you HAVE to bash B.

The battle is no longer Apple vs Samsung vs Android vs whatever. The smarter ones from all sides are now anti-fanboy, anti-stupid.

Hmm, something tells me that you will now change your answer. There is no equivalent to Garageband, Amplitube on Android simply due to the OS architecture, and not due to the hardware available.

Being absolutist is not the answer, everyone has their checklist of wants, and can choose the phone they want.

Just because something can cover the basics for the masses does not mean anything you imply.

Nor does preference or ignorance/denial of the truth change fact.

This is reality. Obviously it has to be at least good enough to satisfy the masses or even apple and their scheming abilities would not be able to have such a hold on society. ...duh????????????

What you like or believe does not change that is no more than a bunch of limitations and restrictions used to fool and create a flawed illusion of perfection. As well as keep a control over things and laziness in development/support.
On top of that it is used on a device that had continually lagged behind in current technology.
The device is based of many stolen, copied, bought ideas. Including the stolen name and design.
And even though ios is supposed to be so perfect especially since it's only for one set list of devices it somehow finds a way to continually have major bugs and issues at release as well as many more crashes compared all other major os's......
Yet those things are specifically what the restriction and limited number of devices are supposed to eliminate...yet they are the highest......where does that even logically add up???????

And to top it all of they charge the same or more as top of the line devices with much more stable and functional software and much better and more expensive hardware.

All together makes it one of the biggest and worst socially accepted and blindly loved scams around.
And just working "good enough" for your preference or the masses does not make any of this less fact.
Apple is like a failed and lame wannabe umbrella corp.

On top of that, even if one website chooses one over the other, in the end it is up to you to choose what's best for you.

The truth is, the modern day smartphone OS pretty much covers all the major stuff well, and will be good enough for most people. Where people differ are merely the specific areas which relate to the users themselves, so why worry what a total stranger to you will get?

This has always been the game, which every other phone company does too.

Apart from that, even with features that are added which other phones have, it will most likely be done in an iOS manner. Just because two features are the same, doesn't mean they will perform the same (for better or worse).
