I have no problem in my galaxy grand. 2 runing onn kitkat , it works verry well. why you people have such problems. ..?
Just put your phone in recovery mode and reset it and just try to update by your computer using Samsung pc kies .....JUST TRY IT.....

I have used this phone for 5 months, this is good phone actually. I bought this phone originally jellybean 4.3, game performance really good. Also I have upgraded my phone to kitkat 4.4.2. The game performance not really that good than jellybean before, but overall it's still nice. I don't have any issues while using this phone although I have so many apps. I don't know why people's experience really opposite to me. Oh ya, the front camera sometimes good, sometimes not, it depends on where you take that picture, rich of shine poor of shine. Also the main camera in the night doesn't that good, sometimes if I took someone's look, their skin gets yellow (using flash), but you can use night mode. Overall this phone not too bad. Sorry for bad english, I'm still learning :D

My grand 2 is not upgrading to kitkat.. from settings> about device> software update. . It says latest updates hav alredy been installed.. and its android version is 4.3 .. what to do...i know about odin.. I dont want to update my phone via odin.. how to update my phone via software update option in my phone. ..

vini, 16 Dec 2014I brought grand2(Pre-installed kitkat 4.4.2) black 2 weeks ... moreI faced the same issue. I gave my mobile to samsung service center. They replaced my mother board and everything is just working fine.
If its less than 1 year that you bought there is full warranty.

Well, brought the phone 15 days back. Surprisingly it was 4.4.2 out of the box.
I had the restart problem right from the day 1 i bought this phone. I have taken to the service center. They took about 20 minutes and re installed the software for me.
I observed that the restarting problem was still an issue. Then the service center replaced the mother board in 1 day. They also gave me a standby smartphone. I was happy with the service. Since i replaced the motherboard, i did not observe any problem with the phone. However need to wait and watch
