The kitkat for grand 2 is not yet stable as per samsung technician, wait for further updates, i already updated my grand 2 then a lot of problems occured, they tried to fixed my fone but failed, the last resort they replaced the motherboard and back to 4.3 and now its very smooth and fast:)

My Samsung Grand 2 gets - Kitkat 4.4.2 Update and it just works fine! Even it has improved overall performances. Some of the comments here shows that basic housekeeping is not performed. If your phone is having slowness, check your additional memory. Overloaded images and videos, etc. Its a fine phone and I have been using for the last 4 months. No complains. Every penny worth it!

After Updating the option of one hand operation on which related to call screen and keypad screen can not be on....and if i make it on..it shows errors like this ( com.android.phone has stopped ).. but the update saves a lot of battery consuming ... and as google's Experts says : Everything has made for a reason.

Anonymous, 06 Oct 2014Plz dont... Unfortunately, I've updated it. But the good thing is: phone didn't restart, everything works fine and no lag nor hanging issues. I must admit that the 4.4.2 update dosen't have any significant changes on the phone itself nor the entire UI ;)

I have upgraded the fw of my Grand 2 Duos to 4.4.2 from 4.3 & had a problem with the phone app. (Unfortunately phone.android stopped error).I couldn't make calls when the error occurred & had to factory reset in the recovery mode every time. So I downgraded again by flashing a stock 4.3 rom with Odin. Now the phone works great. There's a tutorial in Youtube for any one interested.

erm hey guys, i need help here, so like i bought my phone Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Duos like for a month or less, kay here's the thing, first week i use it's okay but week later it starts becoming like hell, i'm annoyed by it like seriously, so my phone appears blue screen and shut down everytime for now, whenever i'm typing a message or sending pictures it appears, i sent to repair, with warranty, they said they did it and nothing wrong, i also did reset factory and data for 3 4 times now, it's still the same, i really want to know why, and just today 3 blue screen 8 times shut down and auto on back as usual, i really need solution for this, please help ? and i also updated to the latest version and i did not download any stupid stuff so i guess it wont cause virus but its still the same, i also check through internet and google for like loads of times but never helps, please help ?

In a event after updating the galaxy grand 2 to 4.4.2 kit kat then post-update issues will occur, suggest me some actions/options to undertake for the phone to run normally again. Response is highly appreciated ;)

Take note; non stop. And then i started to use my warranty and take my phone to samsung. Yes they fixed it but after 4 hours, they said it's okay but it still has issues about restarting problem. I guess it's too risky because not all OS can handle all the updates. so better no to update if you want to keep your phone normal.

I too faced the same kind of GPS issue and after removing the back panel screws and tightening it , my GPS issue got fixed but it didn't last long .
After the mobile is receiving some vibration or shake .. it went to the previous state of GPS not working or fixing ..
Then again i tightened the back panel cover or pressed hard ...then it started working again .. so i guess the internal mother board or the back panel cover is loose .. so the GPS antenna is not getting contact with the mother board GPS socket ...
I tried to remove my phone but i cannot since its little difficult and am afraid it may brake .. as my phone is still in the warranty period am planning to take it to a samsung authorized service center and tighten the mother board and to check whether this issue is fixed permanently after that ..

tannu, 04 Oct 2014after upgrading android 4.4.2 kitkat my mobile restarting a... moreTry this:
1. Reboot to recovery mode (be sure to back up all your data, sms, contacts etc...)
2. Perform "wipe data/factory reset"
3. Next is "wipe cache partition"
4. Then reboot to system boot.
You will have a fresh Kit Kat 4.4.2. Mine is now okay but have to go through all the settings again. Better than going to the service center.
