Maybe you should tell that to Boeing….only to make planes for US airlines….and ignore the needs for international customers.
Maybe that’s part of the reasons why the big 3 are in such huge trouble….as they mostly cater the needs of the Americans with large engines…ignoring the fact many others pay as much as US$6 for a gallon of gas.
Maybe the thing the Americans want to export is people with the H1N1 disease…..so the rest of the people around the world may die and only the Americans to survive to rule the world.
What’s H1N1? Oops, almost forgot the radio stations in US don’t report “news”, so people don’t listen to radio and realize the importance…so sick people keep boarding on the planes to spread the disease worldwide….

Anonymous, 17 May 2009You said that HK had its first 3G in 2004. So there, you w... more"how to fit all features in a small device that is the concern"?
Better ask the same question to Motorola, who originally claimed the size of V3 couldn't accomodate anything else extra...be that better cam, external memory, etc...
What happened to V3i? What happened to V3maxx? The case / housing is practically the same, and V3maxx even evolved into 3G with secondary cam for video-call capability.
I feel so confused right now, because I didn't have much against iphone (as my wife loves it). I just name a few features to be on my "wish list", so I would spend more $ on the next version...indirectly benefitting the American (engineers...as phones are made in China anyway).
However, all I received was some rather hostile comments saying I don't need this and that, so maybe my wife should stick with her iphone for couple more years....
And yes, I'm loyal to the other American cell phone brand which hasn't released any "good" phone recently either....just one A3100 but forced me to run on Chinese Windows...(or is that Microsoft's problem? American company again?) Why I can't change the language on WM6.1 like WM6.0?

You still haven't proved if there is any place in US which can handle over 7 million phone calls AT THE SAME TIME within an area of 40 sq miles...
Actually which place in US has over 7 million population within 40 sq miles?

Anonymous, 17 May 2009You said that HK had its first 3G in 2004. So there, you w... moreYou don't seem to understand how different people living at different parts of the world live....or do you seem to have any respect to any of them...
"You said that HK had its first 3G in 2004. So there, you wouldn't have any problems operating iphone 3G to access its internet for traffic applications."
Again, the live cams from the Transportation Department (like DMV) are only FIXED cams at FIXED locations. They can never tell you incidents happening at specific places, or if serious delays are going to happen where the cams are NOT located.
"You said "if the typhoon is within about 120 miles of HK, we would hoist a signal to "officially" announce people should / can go home". Is that through FM radio only?" Your experience in 1985 is irrelevant. Didn't your car have a radio? Were you the only person in HK at that time that you couldn't ask anybody what the heck was going on? You are not making any sense. And what has that experience in 1985 got to do with cellphones? If there is a major calamity in any country, schools are always closed, or even businesses. Did you see any American students or workers going to school or work when hurricane Katrina occurred? You're being silly. And again, what has that got to do with the FM radio being a must on cellphones?
I brought up the case from 1985...which happened near FAIRFIELD, California, (if you ever check history, there was indeed a big flood which practically closed I-80) for the fact from my understanding, FM stations in America DO NOT bring the necessary news....yes, is good to have musci around the clock. Though crucial news at least every hour would really help, and I didn't / still don't see that much for radio stations in US.
On the contrary, other people living around the world may depend on their radios much more. I admit even when I was in US, I listended to my own music more than radio, because I couldn't find any talk show as funny as those in HK...or be Al Bundy on TV.
When I went to high school in 1985 near Sacramento, school didn't close because it didn't care if its students might get stuck in traffic on I-80. No school was ever closed in Sacramento / San Francisco areas for the 14 years I lived there...only SF schools were closed due to earthquake in 89, when I was still at Sac.
"In the event of a catastrophe like hurricanes. It is not because the carrier couldn't handle mass calling, it is because transmitters or satellites are damaged by the catastrophe that call signals could not go through. Millions of people use the phone lines every day here in the US so I do not know what you are talking about carriers not able to handle multiple calls at the same time."
Guess you never watched Die-Hard 4.0...
"Your logic is messed up. FM is not essential on a phone like you are making it to be. Your excuses are lame. How can having FM on a phone be convenient? Maybe for a phone that has nothing else to offer, FM would be a welcomed feature, but not on phones like the iphone that can do so many other things than using it to listen to FM, hahahaha."
So a Mercedes can have everything else so the powered driver's side mirror was deemed unnecessary on its E-class from 1985-1994?

All iphone plans come with only 500mb of data every month.
Imagine if you listen to 5 hours of radio everyday, would that be over 500mb?

Anonymous, 17 May 2009You said that HK had its first 3G in 2004. So there, you w... moreThe name says it all. This statement you made
You are also wrong with your assumption of Apple's strategy. They are not omitting known features just so they can add it on to the next model. Apple simply prioritizes what features should go in first and fit in a small device. I don't think that Apple would have a hard time putting in all of those features in. It's a matter of how to fit all features in a small device that is the concern. So they have to prioritize, until hardware technology comes that could accommodate more features in a small device. Try common sense
is so false it makes me cringe. You really think apple cares about a small device? Heck no! Steve Jobs is a BUSINESS man, he cares about business plans, stocks, and revenue. He doesn't care about what features you want on your cell phone, why do you think it took them years to add the most basic features to the iphone!?!? Have you ever noticed that everytime apple releases a firmware update for their iphone their stock jumps? coincidence? I think not. Its all apart of the plan, release bits and pieces of the most basic features that should ALREADY be on your phone slowly but surely and soak up the cash. iphones are for simpletons, most people fit that bill and thats just fine. if you want a real phone/os go android :-P

Anonymous, 17 May 2009The person saying iPhone slaughters the PSP in the graphics... moreJohn Carmack was the one who said it so take it up with ID software and he was talking about the current iPhone let alone one with improved hardware.
Take a look at some of the games on the iPhone they are of higher quality than PSP games and far in advance of the DS which outsells PSP's anyway.
The PSP is four year old hardware the current iPhone is two year old hardware, wait until Apple start designing and making their own chips which is likely to come next year.

You are the one who is ignorant boy! The iPhone may have more ram and a more powerful cpu but in no way does it thrash the PSP in graphics. The PSP is a made for gaming for goodness sake.
