MOON, 15 Aug 2014It'll be a massive performer.. but is that for smartphones?... moreMore likely it's mostly for gaming and 3D gfx, how many % of the phone users uses heavy 3D gaming? Seems more like a thing for console, shield device or bigger devices.

A after version of galaxy note 4 will come with this chip.. Like GALAXY Note 4 LTE-A... (;D) As S4 LTE-A came with snpdrn 800 (I9505-snpdrgn600) S5 LTE-A came with snpdr 805 (S5 LTE with Snpdrn 801).. But any note series has not a LTE-A version yet :(

Don't be silly... The core count its a design choice, more cores has its pros and cons.

Qualcomm needs a QUAD core to compete with Nvidia and Apple's DUAL core. LOL. Shows you how far Qualcomm is behind in terms of chip design.

The K1 GPU will eat it for lunch, though. Next gen K1/K2 is going to be even better with the new Maxwell architecture.

Nice to see how vibrant the CPU/GPU ecosystem has become with so many players - Qualcomm, Samsung, Mediatek, NVidia, HiSilicon, etc. Soon perhaps also Intel will join (after getting power consumption under control).

OMG! 6.2" 2560x1600 pixel resolution screen which implies an aspect ration of 16:10 !!!
                    Long awaited specs for me
                    The question now is
Who among the top phone makers will be the first to produce this

Galaxy note 4 would be a logical destination for such a chipset, although i don't know if it is to soon to be ready for that????

looks like itll end up on a tablet rather than a phone, since that resolution is 16:10.

After hearing about the Snapdragon 810, now Snapdragon 805 seems too old. OEMs that are about to release flagships this year should scrap their idea of opting for SD 805 and jump straight into SD 810.
