This is a pretty impressive device. I don't think is is supposed to be a smart phone, it seems like it would lack the overall prowess that a true smart phone would have (e.i. Blackberry or Palm). This thing is just another high spec multimedia phone, with camera features have not competition, cept for the Saito. I've always like Samsung, I regret leaving them for the Curve 8900 (I thought the camrea would be as good as my old D900, the review came out a day after the return period now I don't like it). The Xenon flash, if its a good one, will be a major perk, LEDs don't cut it, they never have. I really like this and its becoming a really tough choice to choose one, because we all know that LG will pop something out as well, thats the way these things seem to work. Anyways I can't wait for these phones to come out. These aren't smartphones though, I wouldn't get that term mixed up with these.

Anyone getting this phone just for the 12mp camera in ridicilous. There are alot better phones out already from LG, and releasing from Nokia and SE. I have had my share of Samsung touchphones and the TouchWiz UI must be the slowest, ugliset and most irritating UI out there. Sometimes it's even unrespomsive if u don't have the patience of Gandhi to press and drag widgets slowly. I would be happy to use a Samsung phone again, but without the touchscreen and the TouchWiz UI. Presonally i am going for the Sony Idou, LG Arena 2 or the N97. I was very very impressed with the Idou, had a go at it a few weeks back att convention here in Sweden. Best responsive touchscreen so far with beautiful transistions. and i have used the original iPhone. Great quality in Audio/Mp3, Videos, Photos. It's a complete phone. Been saving money for a few months now, i am strongly leaning towards the Idou, but it depends on pricing.

WHEN they make a celephone with "both a xenon and a power LED flash" with "D1 video recording at 30fps" it is NOT a smartphone!!!

When I started reading I was all excited, but WHY shoul I buy this now?
If I want quality photos I carry my camera with my smartphone.
But I don`t want another gadget in my pockets, I want a great smartphone WITH a great camera!
TouchWiz UI can be cute (bla bla bla) but it is not for me.
Samsung, launch a phone like OmniaHD(S60) + these camera spechs = you`ll be the real King!!

each one has more problemas than solutions
there is no iphone killer
the user interface is the most important part, not hardware
if you want take pictures, buy a digital camera
high megapixels camera without lens isn't a camera, just is a boys toy
I'm have a single an useless Sony ericsson W580, a sony dsc T-500 camera that's rocks, and a qosmio notebook with a USB 3G modem
I let you a single expresive emoticon for the whole thing --> ^_^
I'll not buy a smartphone until:
cool design, like LG Crystal buts better
high compact comfortable size (like my sony cam)
~3.5' capacitive touch screen legible under sunlight
minimal resolution 400x800 16M colors
10MP camera with at least 5x optic zoom, video 1280x720@30 / 640x480@120 / 320x240@240(?) and 160x120@480(?) LOL ^^, and videocall, XENON flash an power led for video
full internet browser with flash, java, wifi, multitouch, all!
minimal 32GB internal memory
the Qualcomm's QSD8650A Snapdragon 1.3 GHz ^^
full zoom for very large images in gallery (iphone sucks)
MULTITASK!!! I mean, not only 2 apps...
I want to record video minimized while playing music and watch a PPS or check my mail
office-like programs but with edition support!
full connectivity through all apps
real GPS
ambientlight sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, pressure sensor(?) to determine altitude, gyroscope (?), digital compass
and... a cheap price! LOL ^_^
I dont know if forget something hahaha

if u want more storage then buy another microSD card and another and so on. just plug in the card u want any time. see? u can have 1TB storage if u want unless u have files larger than 16 GB :D. forget about 32GB included in Nokia, since u will pay much more for that than it actually costs to buy it as separate memory card(s).
