HTC, LG and Samsung all use lower-end processors, less RAM, crapy cameras and crummy specs. *THIS* is a flagship in a compact form.

Sony used to put the same hardware on its compact variant. Now, they've just done what samsung/lg/htc do. They seem to have forgotten what made the z1 compact desirable, unlike the mini flagships of other android makes. In fact, if this had the same specs of the z3, it could have easily been a proper alternative to the new iphone since they're roughly the same size.

Sony just wiped me from their customers list with the excessively downgraded Z3 Compact. I want SMALL, not crappy, not even Sony understands that.

Very disappointing stuff from Sony, this is a significant step backwards, now they will start lagging behind the competition as much as they did with Xperia S, SL and T/TX, this could mean seriously loss of sales in Europe at the same time as they had to give up in USA.
Ok so maybe they can sell almost half a million Z3 phones to PS4 owners but why on earth focus their attention into such a small niche market? Because that was the only innovative news with Z3, the PS4 remote play. Wow this was tragic.

Note 4 uses Snapdragon 805, but Xperia Z3 doesn't. Such a shame!

it's funny how samsung haters bash on the truly innovative step it took when sony flat out more than disappoints with the xperia z3.
when the note edge will revolutionize the utility of the smart phablet, said haters are only going to wish samsung didn't do it first.

sony just confirmed my next phone to be a note, as how could you release a "flagship" which is the same as the last flagship.
