Anonymous, 03 Sep 2014All of you people going insane with the "No snap 805&q... moreThanks for your opinion, now here's mine. Samsung is not as poor as you make it sound, experience with a z1 and an s5. Now with the hardware situation qualcomm 805 is better than the 801 fact, as well as adreno 330 and 420. Now if a Sony customer is paying for a high end phone z3, my opinion is that they deserve to get the best available on the market I.e 805 and 420 especially if their competition is putting that out there, and 3 especially if their phone is decreasing value twice as quick (every 6 months so called flagship releases) unless you are rich enough to upgrade every 6 months. Normal people on 24 month contracts will have to keep the z3 for that period, with an 801 which will be dated by the end of their term, which I think is not acceptable as 805 is there!

Okay, the Note 4 can function as a VR device with its super gorgeous 5.7" Super Amoled QHD diplay paired with the Gear VR, what can this do? Oh I see, this has the ability to look pretty and fragile at the same time. Ok.

All of you people going insane with the "No snap 805" and "No QHD" are seriously stupid. It's NOT about having the top hardware, it's about how well it works together. 90% of the other "flagship" phones are bound to start lagging and eventually turn into a worn out phone.

What Sony does is give their phones excellent software to go with its near-high-end hardware and make it all work perfectly.

And complaining about "only" 2 GB RAM on Z3 compact? Just what exactly are you planning on doing with your phone? Compiling a huge chunk of code whilst playing games? Let me remind you (or tell you in case you didn't know) that the Xperia UI is really light on everything compared to, say Samsung phones, which is laggy even on a freshly new phone, leaving way more RAM and processing unit capacity for other menial tasks you might want it to do.

My Z2 is about 5 months old, running as well as the first day I got it, meanwhile, every Samsung high-end phone owning user I know is complaining their phone started lagging after a month of having it. Sure it has some faults, like the overheating (pretty much happens only when recording in 4k, other than that, getting it to become even a bit warm requires playing a game for 2 hours straight), but it doesn't die on you even after half a year.

However, what people don't like is that it doesn't look so good on paper. The fact is that Sony started releasing their flagships twice yearly, so the switch from Z to Z1 and Z1 to Z2 might be underwhelming, but if you skip a "generation", you'll be more than pleased, as compared to all of those Galaxy phones with all the seemingly great on paper (and most of all, useless) hardware that just wear each other down and drain your battery faster.

Xperia Z3 Compact with bigger screen and smaller bezels, nice ..
but why only 2GB Ram?no metal frame?
Did we ask for a budget phone or only for a compact one?
Smartwatch 3 looks like a copy of LG smartwatch 1.
Shame for a company with long history with SW's.

Compared to the 5s. The 5s has battery problems, not waterproof, no nfc, no noise cancelling, smaller screen, no fm, crappy camera. Good luck with your purchase!

Since when did a 4.6" screen mean a compact phone? Sony missing a trick here, the 4.3" screen of the Z1 Compact was barely small enough to use with one hand, this bigger version is going in totally the wrong direction.
