... moreWell the whole locked vs unlocked thing is a USA vs world. Most people in the US buy the phones available to them on their carrier of choice. I agree that the iphone on the unlocked market ($600+++) is not well priced, but I think that is demand more so than fair price.
And the 5800 vs the iphone in terms of OS is no competition. Nokias have tons of features but with them it always seems to be a story of freeze 'n crash. I am not saying that the iphone does not have problems and some units are not defective, after all these things are man made. But the Mac OS Mobile OS is the most rock solid OS out of WinMo 6.1 and Symbian S60 (I do not know about Android since I have not used it yet but I am tempted to get the HTC Magic).

on a separate note, Im not really excited about the 3.2MP camera, the 2MP one is fine for most things. The real improvement is the support for hardware attatchments, universal search (spotlight) and push notifications for apps. Excellent work.

Who needs them when I have this gazillion pixel camera? Speed? naw.. no need for that as well. Smoothness? As long as I can take fuzzy pictures at 12mp, I don't need a smooth operating system.
Speaking of "Name Brand" lenses, learn a thing or few about cameras and lenses before you bring this up. Many Nokia phones have Carl Zeiss optics but they still can't take good pictures. The reviews on here proves that. As for mega pixels, it's pointless as long as the sensor is small. The worse 5 mega pixel DSLR will take better pictures then the best 10+ mega pixel compact camera. Why? Because the sensor is better and bigger. Google DSLR vs point and shoot camera. You'll see. So this goes same for camera phones. The sensor is just too small. Please do more research before you post.

i saw alot of comments that you posted on iphone forum.
you are always comparing your n95 to iphone, why? before i got my iphone 3g ive used n95 for almost a year.n95 is very nice phone too, but i think n95 is not better than iphone, i got my reasons and you got yours.
this is worldwide business, if apple would make a phone with multi touch, 5mp camera with video recording and auto focus and flash,video calling,turn by turn gps,flash memory and alot of things that you wish, who is gonna buy your nokia or other phones like samsung, se, lg,htc, bb and ..... etc?
thay may bring negative situation for all other phone companys.
i hope you can understand these things.

The enhancement are not mind blowing - they are just fixes to things the fone should have had in the beginning. But i'm still 1005 for the apple. While the fone itself is nothing special ( i think Blackberrys and the new Pre got it beat) the apps are still killing the competition. Its all about the apps - i think apple know that, thats why i think they haven't really bothered to bring some super hardware enhancements, they know where their strength lies - its the same with the Mac vs PC war.

One thing about OS 3.0 is that the "SMS"... morei dont think its fake i work for a phone company and on our systems a few days ago popped up "iphone v3" and then taken off a few hours later...not a coincidence...they use that technique to test the selling code to see if it working...just thought I would let you know

the iphone is still in an early stage...too wide for a touchscreen compared to the nokia 5800, omnia, htc touch pro, etc etc.

it is matter whether you can afford a pricey high end smartphone or not.
the iphone is cheap because of the contract with att. an unlocked iphone will probably be around 500 dollars. same as the price for unlocked smartphones such an n-series. however the nokia 5800 is around the 300 dollar mark. some of the n-series and e-series are around 400 dollars or less. i would rather pay for a one high end smartphone than pay for a smartphone and a camera.

This had better be fake, in order to generate consumer excitement Apple need to come up with a fresh spin on the design rather than some minor visual enhancements. The new iphone...NOW with a matte back!!! Oooo
