Nokia brand gone soon, the "Phone" in Windows Phone too

Microsoft should follow the foot step of Lenovo in which the company firmly continued the Motorola identity. Killing the great Nokia brand or by adding microsoft brand tag alongside does not only hurts the Nokia admirers who still rememembers the glorious years of that mobile phone giant but also could worsen the penetration of Windows phone OS in the market as well as reducing the sales figure. As per my knowledge Microsoft branded gadgets except the Xbox do not go well in the market.

AnonD-55961, 11 Sep 2014OMG! Microsoft has finally killed the great giant. Oh Noki... moreRead Nokia N9 reveiw in gsmarena it's not android that killed Nokia. It's trojan by MS and poor top management of Nokia killed the brand. One of the biggest strategic failure in modernday marketing.

OMG! Microsoft has finally killed the great giant.
Oh Nokia why didn't you go Android while others are moving with the trend.
Seems to be one of the worst business decisions ever in the whole of ICT industry!
One of my best mobile phone till date is Nokia N95 8GB!
Others are Nokia E7, C6, C5, 6288, 6610i, 6610 (twice), 3510i and last of all Nokia 3310.
I could still remember the hottest phone in the world then Nokia 9500 Communicator going for $1,013 factory price when released

Surprise, GSMArena? We, most of the customers, don't give a damn.
This is the end for Microsoft phones. Nobody buys their Surface tablets, so why do we get phones?
We get Windows 7 or 8 for PC, because we don't have a good alternative.
But, we're not going to get Microsoft's mobiles, we're not so helpless.
Everyone knows Microsoft. Sending Torjan horses and destroying beautiful well-cultured & respected organisations.
In India, Nokia sells because Nokia is a brand synonymous with reliability, durability and communicative performance.
Any Nokia's weaknesses was seen only in spec sheets, not in ownership. It won't overheat, its battery lasts, call quality is good, etc.
But all that will change anyways...

I hope that windows will leave nokia alone because nokia had the best phones pre smartphone and it would be the same if nokia picked android istead of windows. If nokia does build phones alone using android os then samsung, htc, lg, sony and apple have a new compeditor

i had a nokia 6310 or something like that, a n82, n97, and a 6260 with double rotating hinge. they were ok i guess..but nokia just came short when it came to android....
Come on ..every noname manufacturer like xiaomi, one plus, htc, huawey, lenovo that never dreamed of one day overtaking nokia, are having good days tahnks to android.
Why could nokia not have put together a 720p/1080p, sd , 16/32gb , 1/2gb ram and make a damn phone.
What was so hard ?

So the All-in-one OS is nearing indeed, just "Windows 9" no more phone moniker.
Just wait a little more Nokia and you can get back with your own branding. xD

That's exactly what I predicted. MS will retain Lumia brand and get rid off Nokia name in their mobiles. Once MS has done so, Nokia is free to release their Android phones. That will be time of re-raise of Nokia. It will come, we are waiting for this.

even though i had a love and hate mixed feelings for nokia lumia series the first reason for me to sell my nokia lumia 1520 after few months and move back to android will be this rumor of microsoft going to remove nokia brand from future phones. i dont know what they thinking but they just released products like 930 under nokia lumia brand and doing this will decrease the value of such products in the future. which makes those new products useless for people who brought those. trying to leave such a big brand name on bottom will not be a good move.
