Apple iPhone 3G S available, no mile-long queues this time

It’s finally here folks – one of the most sought-after handsets is already available in the eight lucky countries from the first wave. The most impatient fans in USA, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland...

Well i think the whole thing is a joke, i was actually tempted to try this out but upon calling O2 UK i was informed they no longer sell the unlimited text bundle with the iPhone.

So O2 want 186 quid plus 35 quid a month for a phone that only gives me 500 texts a month. total joke if you ask me !!!

    I just got mine this morning and to be honest I am quite impressed by it. It is much snappier (yes its possible) and the voice commands and whatnot are truly impressive. The digital Compass is spot on and very responsive. The smallest one already comes with a whopping 16 gigs, which is about twice as much as most smart phones come with, even though they do have card slots.

    The camera is nice and video editing out of the box is a nice plus. Macro (short range) shots are beautiful and long range aren't bad either. As for 3.0, theres a way to do everything you want to be able to do. Tethering, MMS, copy paste, A2DP, all that jazz, and even turn by turn direction coming soon. Yes its expensive, but you truly do get the best when you go with Apple, whether its their laptops or their phone. Good work Apple :)

    As for GSM Arena being biased, I personally have found GSM Arena to be pretty neutral when it comes to stuff like this. Yes they tend to report on the Iphone more than most other phones, but at the same time, how many Nokia or Samsung phones do they talk about? Apple only has 1 phone available, whereas Samsung has dozens. They talk about Samsung or Nokia more than they talk about Apple.

      [deleted post]yeah I know what you mean. That's why, everytime an iPhone comes out, I don't even bother to look at the article. I looked at this one due to speculation that it might actually be somewhat decent this time but apparently it's still a bunch of crap. It's a reason people aren't bursting the doors down to get this one. They are finally realizing how garbage the iPhone really is and how they've been getting had for the past 2 or 3 years.

        The 1st gen was revolution, the 3G was evolution, the 3G S is NOTHING! Apple are well known for their inovation and different approach to products. but this as just boring. I want something totally WOW!

        to be honest, the current 3G S should of been 1st Gen (Including OS 3.0!)
        Cut and Paste, MMS, I've had that on my nokia 4 Years ago!

        Comon apple give us a 8MP camera phone with HD and 4x Optical Zoom. + XENON!

          of course no one is gonna waste more than 600€ for a piece of crap where you can get one from Ebay US for less than 300€ and iphone is not popular in europe as is in America.
