Oreo roll out for T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy Note8 put on hold

Himanshu, 24 April 2018

T-Mobile has updated its Galaxy Note8 software update page to reflect that the Oreo update roll out for the device has been put on hold. The status field for the Oreo update entry now says the update was first available on April 1, but was paused on "April 3, and is temporarily unavailable."

So far, the magenta carrier hasn't offered any reason for move, and sadly, there's also no information on when the roll out would resume. It's been three weeks since the update was paused, so that's already a good amount of time the company has taken.

Here's hoping T-Mobile fixes the problem quickly, and the roll out resumes sooner than later.

I am so tempted to go for an iPhone but I just can't live without a headphone jack. Which phone should I switch to. I am so done with Samsung and their imfamois update rollout.

I installed the Android 8.0 (Oreo) update the day it became available in early April 2018 on my Galaxy Note 8. The only initial problem, since fixed, I had was with my Yahoo Mail app freezing. By clearing the app's cache, I resolved the problem. ...

sad for my note 8 ....
