HMD Fusion launched in India with Smart Outfits

The HMD Fusion, unveiled in September, has debuted in India with three Fusion outfits called Smart Outfits. These are interchangeable covers that bring extra features to the smartphone.

HMD has introduced three Smart Outfits in India - Casual Outfit, Flashy Outfit, and Gaming Outfit. The Flashy Outfit has a foldable LED ring light supporting up to 16 million colors to match different selfie moods, while the Gaming Outfit is a joystick for enhanced gameplay.

HMD also partnered with Digital Turbine and Aptiode in India to further enhance the Gaming Outfit experience for Fusion users. This collaboration will bring the Aptiode game store to HMD Fusion with a dedicated "Play with your HMD Gaming outfit" section for phone users to download joystick-specific games.

Regarding the specs, the HMD Fusion comes with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, a 6.56" HD+ 90Hz LCD, a 5,000 mAh battery, 33W wired charging, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone features three cameras (108MP primary, 2MP depth, 50MP selfie) and comes in a single 8GB/256GB configuration in India. It runs Android 14 out of the box, and HMD has promised two years of OS updates and three years of security updates for the Fusion.

The HMD Fusion will be sold in India in black color in the Tech block concept through Amazon.in and HMD's website starting November 29. It's priced at INR17,999 ($215/€205), with the Casual, Flashy, and Gaming Outfits worth INR5,999 ($70/€65) being complimentary. However, it will be available at a limited-time special launch price of INR15,999 ($190/€180) through Amazon.in.

I do not see a problem with the SoC, the only problem here is the support they offer. I owe nokia x30 and this thing runs way better now then it ran on android 12, so yeah stop comoaring vanila android with garbage OS from the likes of samsung and or...

I hate how HMD pretends like they want you to be able to keep your phone for as long as possible and shows off how much they care about repairability. And then when they release a phone, instead of spending money on making sure it has a good processo...

And they should allow bootloader unlocking upon request, so it doesn't void the warranty.
