iPhone SE 4 rumored to launch next week
Apple may very well kick off its 2025 announcements with an iPhone. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is back with another iPhone SE 4 rumor which suggests the device is launching “in the coming days”. This likely means an announcement next week.
According to “people with knowledge of the matter” Apple will skip holding a dedicated event for the SE 4 and will directly reveal the device with a press release. The new entry-level iPhone is then expected to go on sale later this month with a starting price of $499.
Inventory of the iPhone SE (2022) has reportedly been limited at Apple retail stores, which is another indicator that a replacement is coming up. The SE 4 will be the first Apple smartphone with an in-house cellular modem, paving the way for a future without reliance on Qualcomm.
The SE 4 is expected to look like the iPhone 14 with a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen featuring a notch and the same button layout. The back will house a single 48MP main cam while the inside will offer Apple’s A18 chipset paired with 8GB RAM capable of running Apple Intelligence.

The new phone is also expected to feature a USB-C port which would be a welcome addition for markets in the European Union, where the connector is now mandatory on all new small and medium-sized electronic devices.
