HMD's CPO promises an awesome MWC 2018

Peter, 18 January 2018

HMD started the year early and unveiled the new Nokia 6 (2018) on January 5, but was quiet at CES. It seems that the company has been saving the good stuff for MWC – the Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas, promises it will be “awesome”. Моput on a good show.

He’s a Nokia veteran (joined 2006) and lead the development of the Nokia E66. So, he’s not just going to slip up and tell us what to expect. But he can’t stop us from guessing either.

We have our fingers crossed for the Nokia 9, a quad camera flagship, bur we’d love to see some low-end action too. Say a Nokia 1 with Android Go or even the rebirth of the Asha line.

Of course, there’s a good chance we’ll see 2018 refreshes of HMD’s existing line-up – the 5 and the 6, the rest launched late last year so there’s no rush to replace them.

Would be nice to launch all range of phones with Sailfish OS to choose between Android and Meego like OS, but that will never happen, I gues.
