Samsung Galaxy S7 edge gets Oreo in India

Today, we’ve received a top about an incoming Android 8.0 Oreo OTA for the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge in India. The Android Oreo update for this device brings the Samsung UI Experience version 9.0, Dual Messenger, high contrast keyboard, and overall UI improvements to get the S7 edge’s interface looking more like the Galaxy S8 or S9.

This update’s build number for the Galaxy S7 edge is R16NW.G93FXXU2EREM and takes up about 1.3GB of storage space.

We’ve already seen this device being updated in the US, Europe, and now India. Canadian devices have also been promised the Oreo update for June 11.

If you’ve not yet seen the update, you can try heading into the settings to manually pull the update. If you can’t get it right away, remember, it may just be rolling out, so you should be getting it soon.
