Realme 3 Pro and Realme X arrive in China on May 15, rumor says

Vlad, 02 May 2019

The Realme 3 Pro was launched in India last month, and in the meantime the Oppo sub-brand that turned into its own company officially confirmed that it's soon going to start offering its products in China as well.

Today a new rumor purportedly coming from "trusted sources" reveals that a grand launch event will happen in Beijing on May 15. On that occasion, both the Realme 3 Pro as well as the Realme X will be unveiled for the Chinese market.

While the former has no secrets anymore (check out our review to get to know it better), the Realme X is going to be the model with a pop-up selfie camera that was certified by TENAA last week, and subsequently shown in a teaser video by Realme itself. The image above is a screengrab from that video.

Today's rumor goes on to claim that reservations for the Realme X will begin through China's major e-commerce platforms on May 5. There may or may not be a Realme X Lite version with lesser specs launching too.

The Realme X is allegedly going to have the Snapdragon 730 chipset at the helm, a 48 MP main rear camera, and VOOC 3.0 charging technology. TENAA revealed that it's sporting a 6.5-inch Full HD+ screen and a 3,680 mAh battery. Since there's no visible fingerprint scanner, it's likely an under-display sensor will be employed.
