if u still experience restarts on this phone swap ur battery to BL-5C 1400 mah more powerful or BL-5J a stroong one to and avoid hard messaging it shakes the battery... ok... be gentle in using this phone and avoid always playing games it affects the battery.. if u want to store music use a mem. card reader..:)

Nokia 101 is great budget phone.
Nice keypad, dual-sim features - dual standby.
flashlight, mp3-player.
The only problem is when you call (either sim1 or sim2) is automatically converted to Loudspeaker but not always, just annoying sometimes.
Battery is good enough for BL-5CB but much better if BL-5C 1020mAh.
Overall. This is a good phone.

Absolutely a good experience in case of dual sim mobile phones.Its the best selection for our pockets fulfillng the demand in cheap way.

if compare the battery..better choose nokia x1-01 with 1320mAh..others features are quite similar with both have dual sim card function too

I already changed the battery type with BL-5C but the phone still restarts. The worst was when it totally shut down. I'll have this one sent for level 3 service. I just hope they change the main board altogether.
Anybody here with red 101s experiencing problems? I think the red ones are ok.

Battery found in the package is only 800mAh, not 1020.

x1-01 dont have it option. only next and previos.

this phone is good in fact it is the most affordable music dual sim phone and even durable but it experience restart so heres a tip: use BL-5C battery or BL-5J for avoiding restarts cause the battery that nokia chooserd for this phone is just for uncolored symbian phones which cant support the version of this phone so... change ur battery and enjoy..:)

in other words it can receive a message at the same time but u can't reply at the same time at both sims.

I got this fone a week ago.n believe me it is the best nokia phone in this price range.no prob at all.so dun be confused and just go for it.

Have bought this cell phone yesterday. It is a very nice cell phone considering its price. The features are very different from C1 and other dual-standby models.
Just to clear the confusion, it can be configured to work both as 'dual-standby' and 'dual-active' To me this is a great feature for such low-end device with a relatively cheaper price.
Pros:
-Excellent sound quality
-Vivid user interface
Cons:
-When used alongwith memroy card, the phone is prone to restarts, esp. during messaging, I have experienced it twice and it is only my 2nd day.
-You can receive calls on both sims, but once you have got call - say on SIM1, during the call SIM2 will be offline (but considering the price, you can't complain)
So all in all I'll give it 9/10
