To all of you blasting this phone-please dont!! its one of the cheapest phones out there, what do u really expect-for what you are paying for the phone i think its a gr8 little phone-i had a samsung d500 n it broke so while it was getting repaired i bought this one for the week so i had a phone-it cost me £15 n i had no problems whatsoever n for what i paid the phone did the job-i have now given this phone to my mother who loves it n says its easy to use so to all you haters of 'not so good' phones just cos u have a good phone or whatever dont hate cos this phones for those who dont want a great phone or can ony afford somethin a bit cheaper!

CONS:
* often the alarm fail to ring due uncleare reasons. This is a very nasty bug. Imagine, I was in a bussines trip and I failed to wake up in time due this telephone alarm failure.
This bug is reproducible !!! So NEVER trust in this telephone alarm.
* the signal isn't that good as they claim.
* disturbing echo during the phone calls may appear withaut an obvious cause.
* Come on,... in 2005 they don't offer you any calendar feature
* remove the battery and put it back. You will see that it will loose all your user setting. That is extremely bad and unpleasant.
PROS:
* low price, for no features
* torch ;)
* good battery life
Conclusion:
Nokia 1100 and 1101 are disappointing!... so basic and full of bugs !!??? :
In the past I had a 4 years ols Alcatel 311, http://www.gsmarena.com/alcatel_ot_311-285.php and was more featured than this telephone.
What should I add more?

Operative word being phone. Isn't a phone supposed to make and receive calls? Isn't it what this unit does? Walks like a duck, flies like duck, is a duck.

Hello!
This is one of the modest phones on the market. But I think it's very good for people with low budget, or those who don't want anything else but to call and SMS.
I use it as a "secondary" phone, I have as a "primary" phone Nokia 6630.
Nokia 1101 it's very good as Stand-By, Talk Time, Signal Strength and basic functions. Anyway I have a lot of friends with Nokia 3310 which is a bad phone compared to this one(N-1101), from any point of view.
So want a good, simple, longlasting and also a cheap phone? Then try it! I bought it yesterday from Nokia Store. Here in Romania Nokia offers a warranty of 2years for every Nokia model. I payed for it 67euros.
I like it very much, cause is very simple compared to the other phone N-6630.
I'm not joking, and I don't make free advertising for this model or for Nokia. But it's my opinion and I have the right to inform people about my opinion.
THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ELSE GOOD TO DO ON THE WEB EXCEPT TO POST YOUR WRONG OPINIONS ONLY BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE THE SIMPLICITY OF THIS PHONE, TRY TO STOP. This phone is the ultimate phone of the year!!!! the game snake blows my mind!!! the torch on it has got me out of alot of sticky situations. The only problem that i find with it is that it is so technologically advanced that im still trying to learn how to use the many functions of this futuristic phone. if someone can help me to use this phone that would be great

Spot on! 1100 is a great simple *phone* with fast menus and processor, a display you can actually see in daylight (how novel eh?!), and does more than most phones did a few years back, when phones were just that--not gimmicks for the playground. Just right size and weight, battery life great. Color screens are crud; stick your cameras, video, internet, poloyphonic tones up your jacksie! More greyscale lcd phones please nokia, less toys.

1100: best phone available. Kiddies look elsewhere and come back when you want a phone not a toy.

Agree with below. I've had Nokia 6600, SE P800, Nokia 6670, Imate Jam and many others.
Have reverted to separate phone and pda and 1100 / 1101 are excellent. They simply do what you need and do it better than anything else.

It is good, I rather if it had all the same menu and functios that had the nokia 2280! because this 1101 is newest than 2280.

After putting smart phones on my fingertips, Nowadays enjoying the N1101 amazing battery life,improvised light,keypad,operating software and last but not least its Price.To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury.

Sorry but if you buy this phone in liege , is maby much cheeper , but here in antwerp is to expensive ! , Its a good phone but to expensive , Its beter to buy this phone in liege

to Darkmoon : ???? I sell phones in liege, belgium, and this mobile costs exactly 75euros (with all the taxes in this price). You can have it for 55 if you give back another old phone. Voilà !!

yeah you know , I live in belgium but this phone in belgium is to damn Expensive , the ask 100€ + Tax ! , If you go to spain or France , this phone is way more cheeper then here in belgium ! , Shame Country Belgium , Every thing yo Expensive with a lot of Tax

I just read this.. somebody said that it has 4 days battery life after sending sms and talking. I record videos, take photos, listen to mp3's.. and my battery life is kind of the same! Come on.. it's a walkie talkie not a phone
