Nokia 1112 is superb.... Good as spare hp... Ideal for call and sms... Keypad is great for messaging as it has a softmat keypad... Long battery life span, about 6 days with ard 15 msg & ard 15mins of talktime per day... Very durable also...

I couldn't send/recieve SMS because the screen was cracked and rendering the phone useless, I could technically send them I just couldn't read what I was writing or reading.

Thats not the phones problem, its gotta do with your SIM card or your service provider.

I purchased this phone recently and was very happy with it and the deal I got with it. £20 + £5 credit + 200 minutes. Unfortunately I dropped this phone once, and the screen cracked so I could only make out the top line of my address book. I couldn't send/recieve SMS. Had to replace it with the excellent Samsung C300.

i bought this phone a few days ago it has tremendous battery life and is very easy to handle.i have used almost all models of nokia up till n72,i must say the best phone of theirs based on usability is 3310 and this phone is a very good replacement for that.

Got an 1112 and its wonderful for its price, one of the cheapest phones in Kenya at the moment.
The only problem I can't send sms (but can receive sms). Trying to configure the "Message Settings" I get an error "SIM card busy".

i reccomend this phone for elderly people the ringtones are ear-splitting loud it has vibration function. (in case the ringtones send you deaf!) the true black and white lcd is easy to see. and it is dead simple to use trust nokia to cater to a even wider demographic love nokia it's hard not to.

just read some of the review. yep! this is a great phone if your only after texts and calls. i have a higher model handset that is n73. they claim it's a 3.2 autofocus with carl zeis lens. even though it's suppose to have good lens, there are still a lot of noise in the picture, compared to real camera photos. so, for the people who don't care about gizzmos, and all those crap stuff. i beieve this is a good phone for normal people. on the other hand, this phone is pretty cheap! it won't matter if accidentally dropped your phone or something, because it wouldn't matter. buying a second is a lot better than having it repaired. unlike to other expensive phones, dropping it would make your day bad. this phone is recomendable for mediocore users who doesn't care about strong phone book capacities and functions.

what i can say that, simplicity is always the best, and this phone has it all.

Nokia service centre told me that this phone has no comp interconnectivity! The small port at the bottom is only for upgrading the firmware, etc.

I assume that the USB-esque port is for the Nokia charger which can be purchased, I did some research yesterday. It seems to be correct.

Nokia 1112 does have something which looks similar to a miniUSB slot in the bottom, but it is smaller.

This phone is great, picked up at Virgin Megastores for £19.99 with £5.00 top up already on and 200 minutes airtime free. 100 a month for two months with the first months carrying over.

The phone does everything a phone needs to do makes/recieves calls, sends/recieves texts. And for £19.99 you can't go wrong, I'm probably going to get the SIM only deal on it as well when the free minutes have run out. £20 a month = 300mins/300sms. Bargain.

How's the phonebook format. Does it has 4 slot of phone number for each contact, or just conventional phone book type???
