It's wonderful ^_^ I've been searching for replacement for my trusty ,6 year old 3310...and I found it. Phone is very stylish and it's great for texting. White backlight is very nice and letters are easy to read even in direct sunlight. I don't need gizmos that are useless, like camera with crappy picture quality that can be found in most phones. Want phone ? buy 1112 and have a great phone Want camera? buy standalone model and have a great photos...

simply perfect for those who use phone while driving..large fonts of 1112 won't stick your eyes too long so you can still focus on the road...

It's easy to handle and hold charge for long time. I never use nokia before, but my Nokia 1112 gives me the impression that I will no longer any Phone apart from Nokia.

Its not right to compare a Sony T630 with Nokia 1112. Most basic phones (like the 1112) have better voice clarity then fancier models (which is ironical, but true!). Interface of basic phones is also likely to be faster (& esp. so since this has such a basic monochrome screen!) So there is nothing special about the Nokias!

i'm a symbian user since the first quarter of 2004. nokia 6600 and E60. Now got nokia 1112 as a secondary phone. i'm happy with 1112, it's a basic phone and has a very good battery life (9-10 days standby)...This phone reminded me what a real phone must do exactly.

I have used couple of advanced phones and after some one stole my SONY ERICSSON i purchased my first Nokia mobile phone 1112 ! To my surprise the interface is super fast. Do not expect any features from this phone as its a basic phone. I love this phone its easy to use. Voice quality is superior than SONY T630. Has a option to use speaker phone and hands free is good too. I got my SONY T630 back yet I'm using this phone. Now I dont feel like using Sony phone. This phone simple rocks. The screen is white and black text this makes the screen very clear even during the day light.

well its one of the users friendly cellfon ever it is handy and very easy to use not complecated not lyk ericson phones

this is the worst phone i have ever had. it has got lot of problems. voice quality is third class, ring tone in ascending order, sms tone too slow. Nokia now you going on quantity not quality.
Plz do not buy Nokia phones they are just making people fool. Samsung phones are the best.

Got my phone back from the service centre (which died within just 2 weeks of v limited use ...see below) yesterday, and it died again within just 4 hours! And as a bonus they have left particulate matter under the screen ...making it all look very irritating and dirty!
Now they expect me to take this to their head office here, which is very far away! And they are adamant about not giving a replacement.
Also discovered that this is a "Made in China" phone. Absolutely shoddy and unreliable piece of equipment. And keeping in view Nokia's treatment/attitude, I wont ever touch another Nokia product ever again.
Now I have to spend more time, effort and money getting this junk fixed... :(
Would most certainly not recommend this or any Nokia phone to anyone.

Could anyone give me guidance for getting printout of my messages from My Nokia 1112. I have data cable and software but couldn't get download my sms for print out.

Latest update - My phone died after just 2 weeks of moderate indoor use (I us it as a 2nd phone)!!
It happened just after a caller hung up ...the screen went all garbled. After restarting, now the screen is totally blank ...only the backlight comes on.
So much for Nokia durablity! Now I have to march this piece of #$@&%* to the service centre... :-(

I m using this phone for the past 3 months and no problems. I talk on the phone for about five hours a day and this phone works like anything. My daughter gave a bath to phone and still it is working. If U want a basic phone with battery life and ruggedness this is the machine.
