Nokia 1200 Navi key:
This is a amazing phone, Navi Key is useful turn it left to send a messages and turn it right to check the calendar or set some reminds or push it down to access your contacts list. i think Navi key absolutely better than older model like scroll
key on 1100.
Alarm Clock with "Repeat Alarm" option, this is very good for me.
32 Channel Polyphonic Sound is very nice at this price but i think isn't loud!
Flash light is good and shining.
Very fast on/off and in menu too.
Battery life is perfect.
Too easy and too fast!
Enjoy it.

Hello people! There's nothing wrong with the caller name ID of this phone. You'll just have to learn to program it properly. Ask your dealer if you can't do it properly yourself.
You don't have to buy a new phone just because you haven't learnt to use the current one.

best and cheapest phone in the world if you want a no frills handset for smsing. i love it! this is what a phone should be like, not with all the bundled things which make it slow sometimes. its terribly simple but hey, i bet its faster than your camera phones "LOADING 0%.... LOADING 12%...."

This is real phone with cost effective options and essential features.
Im choose this model of NOKIA for these reason :
1- very very good battery life
2- Mono Display => no problem in direct sunlight
3- at this price we have a essential options more than other models like this.(specially 4 MB shared memory)
4- Nice 32 Channel Polyphonic ring tones, (this is a good option at this price)
5- hands feeling is better than old models at this series
6- anti dust and stamina keypad, good for messaging
its ROCK!

i lost my 1100 few days ago i loved it and its flashlight so i bought 1200 when i found its the replacement for 1100. but i think there are some disadvantages 1- the 1100 battery life was much better 2- digits in 1100's keypad was seperated but i don't like 1200's keypad 3- maybe it's strange but i don't want my 1100 sound and music because only that loud sound could wake me up
Maybe this cellphone doesn't have mp3 player ,camera , blutooth .. but i think cellphone can not be a good camera or something ... it's better to buy a cellphone and a good lightweight camera like sony w-35 or cannon ixy70 you would get better quality for both cell & camera and ...
and cellphones like 1100 are with more strength and better life because more modern mobiles are much more vulnerable because of their enhancements
And again if you lose your cell like me you can easily replace it
anyway it depends on you

If the caller's name doesn't come on even though you've programmed it, you've got the settings wrong! Under the 'multiphonebook' feature, set it to NORMAL PHONEBOOK.
There's nothing wrong with the caller ID of the phone, you just have to accordingly.

Hi, I want to use this phone in the United States, but it looks like the frequencys are not for the US. Are Nokia going to put out a tri, or even quad band version, or at the very least another dual band that does 850/1900? I would really like this to replace my faithful 1100 (cingular branded), because of the calender and speakerphone (both killer features I kinda really need), and the brighter flashlight. It is either this, or a refurb Nokia 5140 or 5140i. I only need a durable, cheap phone with a speakerphone, a calender, and a flashlight (though that last one is a nobility feature, I like it). I don't need a color screen, camera, bluetooth, or all that other crap. Though I like the compass, and the thermometer on the 5140/i, 16 day battery life is impressive, and my BL-5C in the 1100 is down to about 4 days of life under my usage, I used to get 9-10 days. The battery cover also has an ever growing crack, and instead of investing in a new cover and battery, I would rather get a phone that has the features I need. And yes, I prefer the monochromatic screens.
Any thoughts?

I have just bought a Nokia 1200. The caller's name does not come on the screen and that makes it very inconvenient. It is shocking that nokia has overlooked the importance of it.
