Anonymous, 25 Aug 2009Normal usage doesnt lasts for even 24hrs.. battery is very poor..get the software reloaded at nokia care. battery backup will improve a bit.

My previous cell was Nokia 1112 and the main problem in Nokia 1202 is of the battery . The claim 624 hrs stand by time but its not more than 62 hours. Otherwise the phone is slim and cheap!

speaker problem, body of the phone vibrate too much while talking....ring tone point an the back side seems quite nonsense, you can miss calls because when on the table or bed ring tone volume just decrease, and the big problem is its low battery backup...not a good proposition...

I found nokia 1202, so light,slim,solid with simple features. Its cheap and very easy to use. It has the same features of 1200. But it has only a white backlight.

Hi guys, this is the worst phone i ever had. Followinh headaches i went through which made me to sell it.
1.Planty of software bugs, This phone has no stability whenever u type a sms and as it proceeds the typing speed starts slowing and finally when ur text exceeds 160 or near to it, the Phone switch off itself and then restarts.
2.Well noise echo is another problem, Even if u reduce ur handset volume along with echo the sound hearing ability also reduced then u cant listen whatever another party is saying.U need to keep it full and then ur neighbours will be listening what r u talking.
3.Battery backup is also just to say! It discharges quickly when u talk,ya idle stand by time is considerable.
4.The phone`s text typing speed is good!
5.Physical appearance and size/weight is also good.
But the drawbacks it has are much more serious than any good thing it has. Plz dont buy this is my personal suggestion. I SOLD WITHIN 45 DAYS

the reason why i bought this phone is because it cheap n doesnt contribute a lot of problem...
everything is fine since i just bought it only for sms's n answer calls purpose, but- the quality of 'loudspeaker' is not that good, its sounds breaking...

Very good phone for field work. But not dust proof. Please Nokia make environment-proof phone again.

i bought this cell on 13.08.09 look wise set is good very light,slim,and stylish. over all i like the cell. Good luck Nokia.

thanks for all the comments here which helped me decide to pick this unit up as a back up. used for a couple of days. really like the form factor, lightweight, responsive interface (since no frills), and keypad. only downside is the speaker. wish the earpiece and the loudspeaker are separated. for long calls which I rarely do, it can be annoying to hear the sound coming from the back. Guess using the handsfree (which does not come along in the box but should be able to obtain for probably next to nothing) for long calls may be more comfortable.

This phone is not properly QC ed. So many Software bugs.
1. SIM service action does not respond
2. Incorrect Total Call duration.
3. Very Poor Audio Quality
5. Gave 5 times for repair and still exists all the above
