I am using nokia 1208 for the past one year, it is a excellent phone with all needed features for a senor citizen , it is a good invention of the R&D Deapartement

Just purchased this phone as my first ever phone for the odd call. Manual very sparce but phone is simple to setup and works just fine. Nice piece of kit.

Very good bat life compared to other phones I've had...the text message feature stalls everyonce on a while but just deleting the inbox, sentbox, and outbox usually fixes that (or turning it off and turning it back on) plus, the flashlight feature it great (its saved me from a lot of near injuries in the dark) the call quality is alright and heck (it beat my razrv3 I used to have). Granted, it's not exactly the most feature-ridden device, but it works as a phone and texting device just fine!

The best basic entry-level phone I have had. Excellent all-around. Call screening feature is a plus.

My dad bought one of these a few days ago. Everything seems to be ok except for one thing. The phone was bought with Bulgarian language as a second language. In the settings of the phone i can change the language to English, German, Bulgarian and Automatic. My problem comes when i enter the address book and try to type a name-the input language stays Bulgarian. All of the names stored on the SIM card are typed and saved in English and now i cant look em up. Any idea how to change the input language?? I tried the # button but it switches to digits and bulgariand alphabet. Any ideas are greatly appreciated

you want a cheap phone, this is what you get, right.
i hv been using it for a year as my alternative back up phone. i like it, it is light and simple, i have accidentaly drop it many many time, but the phone is still functioning alright,

I think it is such an amazing phone> i had a D900i and it was stolen. so in the mean time I thought i would use a cheap phone.. well. i have never been happier.. the battery lasts so long. the only down side is that it does not support MXit. but well done Nokia. it is a fab phone

Yea!I'm also having the same problem!
Some times the message doesn't deliver...
And when i restart it after switching off the cell phone it works! Coudn't figure out what's the problem with it!
The sms memory is too low!
It can hold just 70 odd msgZ ..life threatening!

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2008I had this phone and it keeps freezing and then re-starting... moretake the battery out of your phone and check the little brass connectors that the battery connects to.I had the same problem with a similar phone and it was just one of those connecters not extended up all the way and movements would break contact between the phone and the battery causing the phone to turn off and on.gently take the tip of your finger and slide it across the contacts to make sure they spring up properly.

I had this phone and it keeps freezing and then re-starting for itself. I do not know if this is a flaw in the manufacture of my phone. Its new, less than 6 months old. My friend also has a new phone like it and experienced no problems.

I haave this phone as a seconardy one, and it's the beast basic phone I've ever seen. THE BATTERY CAN GO ON AND ON AND ON! And that is JUST what I need.
I recommend it to anyone who's obsessed with simplicity and high-battery life!
