the unit requires an external antenna. u have to buy those nokia earphones with built in antennas for the fm to work. >:)

Keys are very hard. Everything else is good. A nice phone for basic use :).

I am about to buy this phone as a backup phone. Just one question. Does this phone need an external antenna for the FM radio to work? Or just simple earphones that we use with the mp3 players will do? I dont want to spend again for the antennae enhancement.
This the the decisive thing between Samsung 1081 and Nokia 1280 for me.

Go to the nearest Nokia Care and have it updated. It's free as long as it's under warranty

This is nice cell phone good, and definitely amazing it can save up to 800 messages, and about 10 hours call time.
