why do people buy the phone if no one knows hardly any think about the phone,you probly can get mp3 but only one.

I am from Pakistan, any one can tell me that how can I download polyphonic and mp3 ringtones in 1280 ? is there any cable to download ?
i have tried to download mp3 / polyphonic ringtones from operator but from operator i can download only monophonic tones :( where as I want to download polyphonic and mp3 ringtones in it, can any one plz ? is there any cable avaliable in market to download tones in 1280 ? or if i go to a shop how they will download tones in 1280 ?

One big advantage of this phone is it's grayscale screen. Even on standby mode the display can still be seen so you could get a quick glance and check for missed SMS and calls without having to activate the screen. This display-always-on function is something I have yet to see in a color screen phone.
Are there any at all?

Its a simple one from nokia.Keypad has soft buttons.People who send msgs very often would love this phone.FM radio sound effects also good.Its worth for buying this phone for 1k rupees.They dont provide headset.We need to buy it.Except that the phone is very good.

i bought 2nokia 1280{colored gray and blue) a few months back...i resold the other one and the other one as a colllectors item and as a back up phone...trully a simple budget phone for the simple citizen who only wants to connect to their loved ones. no need to fuzz or upgrade or whatever complaints on this phone...what you bought is what u get so please stop complaining about the simple 1280! have a nice day.

The Nokia 1280 is an awesome phone. Great feature set, looks great too. The FM radio is the best I've ever heard. It is surely a collector's phone. Wish Nokia will introduce more monochrome models. The design's great, very classy and well made. I wonder how they pack so many features at this price point. Got mine during a visit to India for INR 999. Love this baby!
