My first day with Nokia 130.
          First impressions:

          1. Its way better than my Nokia 105 (better spekars, no leaking voice problem)
          2. Keypad is very comfortable.
          3. Case is dificult to remove.
          4. I can't play videos so far, I've tried to covert some samples into mpeg 4 or 3gp and so far it doesn't wokrs.
But still it's a great device. It's like most advanced and cheapest mp3 player on the world. And I can charge it by connecting to my computer.

In my opinion it's a great choice...

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2014Hi again, My humble suggestion, please do not feed the t... moreI agree with you. Jamescz seems to have this one-point agenda that Nokia 107/108 is necessarily a better phone than the Nokia 130, even though he has not owned one Nokia 130. I reckon that he has not tried one either.

So desperate is he/she that to prove his/her point that he/she is now borrowing someone else's review of the phone.

I HAVE the phone and I AM using it. SO, I think I would have better experience than him in using this phone.

As said earlier, it conforms to my needs and hence, I is is great phone. If my needs were different, I would have considered the Nokia 105/107/108.

Does the Nokia 130 have its limitation? Of course it does. But you need to know if those limitations hinder the experience of the phone or not. If they do, the Nokia 130 is NOT for you.

                  Regards.

This man made me laugh all the time hahaha! but I'm tired. by the way misq, Jahardukh indicate on his review "If you guys wanna buy a basic phone as backup or primary, check first if it's fully pack of all you need or wants."
And still Nokia 107/108 much better than nokia 130. Lastly, I'm ignoring your next reply 'cause I'm tired of your nonsense cross comments on me. I better comment/reply of what others need info. Oh, lastly misq, thanks 'cause you really really made me laugh every time you comment hahahah! thanks. It was so fun! hahaha!

@Jahardukh I will be borrowing your review if you don't mind.

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2014Hi again, My requirements are very similar to yours, exc... moreI have used quite a few phones with numeric keypads in the past.

I quite like this keypad as it gives a reassuring click when depressing the keypad. On the other hand, many other keypads are too soft and you never know whether the alphabet/number/character is entered or not. I prefer a firm click keypad rather than a soft and imprecise keypad.

The centre/main keypad may seem small, but it is not difficult to operate it.

Composing test should be quite easy. I have typed a few messages on the Nokia 130 and it was very comfortable.

If basic texting is your requirement, the Nokia 130 should do just fine. But if possible, do see it and try it out at a local shop before buying it, to confirm that it suits your requirements.

My requirements are very similar to yours, except I would expect to do a lot of sms with my new phone...

Reading different opinions, I see it uses plastic keypads that are little hard to press... (i.e. bit hard keypad)? Is composing sms using this phone easy or hard? (again, I keep my requirements in front, i.e. I'll use this phone primarily for composing all sms/calls).

                              Thanks again for your patience...

As far as I am concerned, I wanted a cheap Nokia phone that would have microUSB charging capability and double up as a pen drive for emergency use.

When I went to inspect the Nokia 105, 107/108 at a local store, all these three phones were immediately ruled out, because of my requirements.

Regarding the dust, I will use a phone pouch to prevent scratches and hence, the possibility of dust entering the phone is minimized.

                                  Regards.

Increase the hearing volume. Mine was fair enough to hear voice on the line, when on the road. Try use earphone if you still can't hear voices or loud speaker it, if you like.

I think I would agree on you regarding on phone quality.
I visit nokia website I saw there Nokia 107 keypad was dust proof.
Meaning no dust can go inside the phone, that so helpful.
Mine was nokia 130 a different style on keypad, a plastic keypad. It has little tiny space on the keypad button. Dust can easy go through my phone by that tiny space. Nokia 107 and 130 they have a little bit diff. on specs, but on overall build quality I think you were right. Nokia 107 can last longer a year than my 130. I'm little bit disappointed, :( but it's fine though.
