i agree with all of you it does serve its purpose but it has no features. although i like the sound because its quite loud and the screen on its not to bad besides the fact that the games and graphics on it are cheap. i like the design without the flip on it but a camera would be nice. overall it a nice cheap phone if alls you care about is talking and texting!

I have always owned NOKIAs form the "Brick" to the "Comunicator" and by far this is the cheepest lightest one I have come accross I thingk this is another keeper like the 5190i Granted little or no features but it serves the perpose it was designed for EXCELLENTLY (making and recieving phone calls) Yeh they could have added one or two aditional practical features but I think that is why they have orher modles. The only problems I have with it is to get my own mp3 qaulity ring tone and it should have included MMS and WAP currently it is the only GPRS phone in jamaica that isn't MMS or WAP capeble

                  I am Dhiru from INDIA,

I am using this cell from last 1 year and I think it's a simple phone without GPRS, MMS etc. and I think it is better then others in battery backup.

I want to know that How can I reset the call durations of my phone(Nokia 1600).

i was able to get a brief look at the phone. it has extra slots for new ringtones. i also saw a composer. is there a way to load new ringtones without having to compose them?

I basically like this phone. It is easy to use and has great volume. It only takes 3 hours to charge and doesn't have to be charged every day which I hate in a phone. The volume is so good that I can be on hold and can hear without using the speakerphone. I have never had any problems with any of the Nokia phones I have owned. Nokia and reliability are synonymous. I don't have to have to have the coolest ring tones.

Increase or decrease the volume with right/left navigation keys during calls. :)

I wanted a simple but cool phone to replace my seT610 and this fit the bill. Can someone tell me how to increase the vol while making calls, it's kinda low. Batt life isn't bad either, but can't compare to my se. Good phone though for the money.

Hey Guys I was fan of nokia. but after getting these ugly phones like 1110,1600,6030 I was very disappointed because by default they set the ringtone in ascending. so we cant listen missed call or messege tone in noisy areas.plezzzzzzzzze dont by these phones. and display is very cheap.as compare to Sony Ericsson. dispay. ugly softwares. I hate nokia now.

                                      Hi,
I have 1600.. its main problem is its ring tone comes only in ascending so its very hard to keep it for messages as we dont hear it.. a nice mobile.. it has a usb port like one in 6030 but it wont work.. so dont buy the usb cable of 6030.. its very use to use and a user friendly mobile...
