i have found a seller of a data cable for the Nokia 1110.
I believe this has the same type usb port as the 1600 does.
Does anybody know if this would work?

hi this phone say it has a shared memory of 4mb on what? i have purchased this phone last week was not satisfied at all, it doesn't have gprs so how could you send a mp3 or download a games, and the standard package doesn't come with a data cable either, doesn't have multiple phonebook, and it can hold up to 100SMS but where would you put because you can't create a folder for each type of SMS, the only thing good of this phone is fast am i right about this one?

Oh and regarding the question if it can play mp3 as ringtones. I don't really know. What I know is that it has a composer so maybe with the help of a software you can find precomposed ringtones.

After 3 days of living with the Nokia 1600 and after 2 years of heavy use of Nokia 6100 my comments are:
First of all realise that this is a mobile phone, which captures the initial "definition" of it to its best, ie talk and text.
+ Very good size and weight (pretty much like the 6100)
+ Very easy to use. Numeric shortcuts have been taken out (unfortunately) BUT there is a programmable key which can hold a list of your shortcuts and it also uses numeric ones. This is for me a very great feature as on the touch of the button I have my favourite servives.
+ You can FINALLY change the alarm tone which is a blessing as you get sick to listening to the same tune after a while (unlike the 6100).
+You can COPY your contacts to the sim card from the phone and vice versa with "a single click". (unlike 6100)
+ It pretty much has all the extras (games, calculator, converter, etc.)
+ Nice polyphonic
Now some minus points that I find mostly irritating.
- It is DUAL band.... Why couldn't you build it as a tri-band. Even 6100 which is like 4 years old is triband.
- Multiple numbers/name. Whyyyyyyy? Even again the 6100 does have that. And considering that you can only save 200 numbers in the phone list.... is pretty annoying.
- Right key on the crosspad is fixed to demo. I mean after the first day I am sure that I do not need to refer to the demo for learning how to dial a number. What a waste of a key?
- Does ANYBODY really have a clue about this famous mini DUK cable? And does the nokia software support it?
Overall, I like the phone and I don't give a damn about camera, mp3 players, ringtones etc... If it only had the above features then it would be the ideal handset for me. Now somewhere around 65-70 percent.
