i bought this phone at telecom world @ rob ermita i kind a have a little complain about the battery it lasted less than 36 hrs few days after i go back to the store where i purchased it and the saleslady said to me dat this kind of nokia new model phone have a weak battery and im kinda lucky it lasted in 36-48hrs even without using as much of its function like the radio,ring tones etc..only to find out dat the battery included when i bought it bnew is not original, a fren told me dat a orig battery of a nokia phone must have a hologram sticker this one has none at it luks like a class b batt..well i think it also my fault not giving it much attention when i bought it coz im kinda confident dat the unit i bought is bnew and orignal.. i think this serve as a warning to all u peeps b4 buying a phone kindly inspect ur units if the accesories are original..

Bought this model recently been using after its launch..a slick phone with acceptable screen size,features is not much but prefer with bluetooth built in,bought cos of its torchlight function n design does not look lik a cheap phone..and best of all is its battery lasting time..been at least more den 3 days not charging it..for those who wans a simple phone with no extra features n budget costing,this one i truely recommend!

I purchased this phone recently and i found it worth for its value.
Its got good trendy style and is also very handy
Though the body is plastic fibre but with this durability is also more. Its quite slim and light weight with a wide screen cmpared to Nokia previous basic models 1208,1650 and also 2626. Battery life is amazing and even FM is also very loud
Overall good handset in a low budget. Those who ar looking for a basic handsets without any extra features like bluetoot,mp3 camera and all can definitely go for it

Hi,
I think it's really nice phone. I've just bought it and my first impression was that it's so cute. Stylish, nice, little phone, a perfect solution for women. Most of them don't really need anything apart from calling and writing messages.
What really counts for most women? Nice design, lightness; bright, quite big display. And that's it! Nokia 1661 has all mentioned features.
Maybe the keypad is far too small for big men, but providing they (mostly) prefer phones full of whistles, this phone will be loved by women, children and elder people.
I really recommend it for those circles.

Very bad design. Keys are very small it seems are made not for human thumb rather for touching with pen tip. The only thing people like about nokia is battery timing.

The keypad seems to be made of plastic but it does not matter as the buttons are just far too small.
I think i will wait for the nokia 2323 to be released as it has bigger buttons.
Older nokia phones like the nokia 1112, nokia 1600 and nokia 3510i have excellent comfortable keypads !
Whoever designed this phone is a fool !

as a basic function-phone it's great.
nice slim candybar design.
battery life is outstanding.
FM radio sounds good.
good frequncy response.
but keypad cliking sounds is disgusting.
overall it's a great basic-phone at lowest price ever.

got this fone. it has the following bad sides
1. cheap plastic built
2. Leak of sound in back speaker
3. Its not beautiful
4. No message count
5. Torch is not bright as compared to 1200.
6. creaky sounds while typing in the keypad.
I don't recomend this mobile
