My friend gave me this phone to use when I travel to Europe but I cannot figure out what the phone number is and I need to know the phone number in order to use it. Can anyone help me?

I've been using this phone for 1year so here are may comments:
    I recharge once a week when I talk 30-60min.
I really like it because it's simple, stylish , easy to use.
The only bad thing about is that I thought it would have the 2 wonderful ringtones that 1112, 1110 have that sound like mp3. It doesn't :( I bought it from Romania.
Keyboard is a bit hard to use at first because the middle row of keys is higher than the rest..it has a strange shape (but it's normal in this days...nothing is wierd no more)
Overall I'm pleased and I recomand it !

I presently have a Nokia 2100 which needs to be recharged every 48 hours even when little used. I have a digital camera and a laptop so need only a basic no-frills mobile phone. I live in Viet Nam. Other basic Nokia phones (eg 1600 and 1650) attract criticism for low volume ringtones and poor keypad design. I'd appreciate some comment from users about the keypad use, ring volume and battery life of the 2310. Thanks.

a great phone for anyone who doesn't want all the hassle and bassle of some 'unnecceseary' features of some other phones. Only $59 in Aus. so not terrible if you lose or break it!
Great phone, shame that they dont make more of them.

its user friendly. Its cool. but i had a problem recently w/ my 2310. I have 3 options under enhancement settings,1.headset 2.loopset &3.handsfree And now i had a big problem, headset was deleted in the options after my sister had played with it. I cannot use the radio anymore, i have asked few friends who is using other nokia phones and i have even read the manual but i havent found the answer on how can i have the headset option back so i can use the radio again.. Can someone out there help me please? Please send me an email..gracesueno@yahoo.com. Your help will be very much appreciated. God bless you guys..

It seems it takes a quick '**' to get '+' in Add Contact on the 2310. '00' gives just that, two zeroes, but thanks, you've saved me a lot of hassle.

I haven't got this phone, but I know to enter a '+' on any phone you press 0 twice quickly!

It has been suggested here that, if I enter contact numbers beginning with +44, rather than 0, then I should see the contact name, and not just the number, when I view an incoming text. How do I input a '+' sign when adding a contact on the 2310, please?

                        Hi,

I am planning to buy this as a downgrade from the LG KG800. I need SMS, calling, and excellent battery life. I am buying it on T-Mobile UK.

Great basic phone. Was given it as a standby whilst my Samsung D840 was in for repair, and after all the problems ive had with that phone, I dont want to let it go. You can always trust a nokia brick!

I would like to activate the security feature such that the key pad request for a code to use the phone. How do I achieve this.

If a contancts number is stored like this: 07912345678 then when you get a text the number shows up with the country code like this +447912345678 so if you change all the zeros to +44 in your phone book, the contacts name will display when you receive a text - well this worked for me anyway, hope it helps!

                                      USAGE OF PHONE.

                                      ALL.
Note that if store a person's name and number in the sim and phone memory together will not show the caller ID except the NUMBER.
                                      CORRECTION RECOMMENDED.
Try to delete one and ask the person to call you again. This is applicable to ALL Mobil phones, not only NOKIA 2310 or Nokia products.
Always study the provided Manual as your guide for fixing any problem you may come across in the usage of a product.
                                      Thanks.
