Hi I am from S Africa. Very disapointed with 2600. Keeps switching off as call is answered and indicates low battery.Has been for warranty repairs 5 times. Nokia repair service exceptionally poor in S A. Phone was stolen last week..So happy.

this phone is a great phone.
good for calling and SMSing. This may not boast of hi-fi features , but its simple and great , no-problem phone.
It has some drawbacks though.
1)gets heated up fast
2)has only one select key. and also the keys are very near. you need some practice to press the right key..
3) Dust gets accumulated very easily. So should use a cover for it.
But the good things about it are
1)It has a option to send a SMS at a later specified time , something you souldn't find in many phones
2)good battery life.
3)Resistant to shocks
4)You can block calls from numbers you specify and also SMSs
4) large screen size
i have ben using this for 1.5 yrs. found no issue at all. Wonderful Phone

this is my second 2600...the first one got stolen! so ..it was replaced by yet another 2600 but no regrets! very simple phone... it doesn't demand TOO MUCH care unlike those with twists and turns features. heheh. i like this phone... very ideal for a person who just needs a simple phone to text and call... heheh (like me!) i have it for 2 yrs already.... really good phone

Its user friendly ..... a very basic colour one .. soft keypad s.. overall worth the money ..

Yes I agree with Jay. Refurbished fones are not original. You are a bit luckier if you got a REFURBISHED fone dat is already used c0z maybe it is original. My cousin also have one refurbished fone. The celfone packaging box given hasn't any NOKIA word in wherever angle you look.

A refurbished phone is not an original package. The f0ne in that package is already used. The seller just deleted the old datas stored by the 1st user. You wil b explained by d sales atndant dat ds f0ne is n0t yet used. Yes, it's true, you are the 1st user but take n0te, u are d 1st user of a LOW QUALITY class "A" battery that n0ticeably has a shorter lyf. All of the parts(keypad,casing, battery, charger) are already n0t original. Be careful because m0st f0nes sold as "refurbished" are CHINA PHONES or in othes words "SMUGGLED PHONES". I knew everything c0z I was als0 a victim of that. It was a les0n 4 me n0t t0 buy f0nes other than BRAND NEW.

I just purchase this device today from a local store here in Cebu...I really like this phone since this came out but havent a chance to get it until today... I'm glad I already have it...I do already own a Treo Smartphone with almost all the features but I just cant resist buying Nokia 2600 and I did. I have one question, did I really purchased an original one? coz I'm just wondering if that was not a refurbished coz I know that Nokia has come out with so many latest models...

iam not a fan of less function phones and cheaper phone models but i have a cuzin who use this phone and he is using it for over more than 3 years now and no problem with it ... this phone is perfect for hard use ... my cuzins phone can be stored in a museum its that ugly with dust covered around it and u cant see the numbers in the key pad also but the phone works still just like a dream his little child once took the phone and trowed it away in a mistake the phones casing got separated from the phone and nothing happend the phone didnt get damaged not even the cover he attached the separated parts very easily ... a good phone for someone who needs a cheaper phone without latest technologies and functions ...

Nokia 2600 has a message sending option of sending the message at a later time. You set the time and it automatically sends it at that moment.
What is want to know is that is there any other (basic) model of nokia that has this very useful feature?!?

hi..
i m using this phone from around 2yrs, i have never face any kind of problem with it.
i don't care wat u say.. i have just replaced it with n72.. i would say my 2600 was far better then this N-Piece of Cake..
Yes its true its very simple phone without all your hype features but proven a best phone for use with sense & simplicity. If any one have any complaints abt it pls guys learn how to use it and how to take care of your Phone-a-fren..
