hey everone i realy like this phone but no data cable, whats up with that ? if anyone knows where to get one please post,id love to do more with this phone,by the way i took the mirred finish off my screen now i can clearly day or night

very nice fone. I bought one for my father, he is 54 and he was really pleased. almost 3 Mb of Memory-1 MP# (with luck), good battery life, easy SMS typing, easy dialling... 10-10-10
Weak points: the display is not quite good, too dark... The colours are not okay. And the same anti-dummy Nokia system warning...
Black version is more pretty.

yeah its a cute lil funtional phone but its takes a bit of getting used to. my only problem is how the heck you turn up the hearing volume??? ..my hearing is not that great and I have to be some where away from other noises to listen properly! I have noticed I'm not the only one that has complained about this. boohoo. :(

very nice fhone,light in weight, easier handling for all type people. friendly user phone I like it very much anybody can use this phone unlike gender. every little kids can use very easy. I perosnally recommend this phone.

It is a very nice fone.. I have been using this fone for an year & still I m good with it.. Voice Recording is awesome but one minute only!
all features are good. should have bluetooth & some extra memory>

Ladies and gentlemen, this is an entry level Nokia. Expecting other than basic functions plus 1 or 2 more perks, ex: full-duplex speakerphone, it is useless to complain about this phone. The display is as best as you can get for a CSTN 65K LCD. The speakerphone is loud and clear and so is the reception.

I have this handset for 3 months and I find it a good handset however, I have already traded-in this fone to buy the Nokia 3110classic. It is not that hassle when you call(despite of what other people posted in this forum) because it is just like basic fones but sending a text message is quite time-consuming because after you have typed your message, you need to go back to the top just to key-in the recipient's number(if the number is not yet registered in the ph0nebook)... And you cannot really just say that you don't care about the screen brightness because actually, this is my greatest disappointment about this fone. The screen is mad hard to see during daytime especially when your outdoors because of its mirror-like display and all you can see when you're facing the f0ne when you're outdoors is your face being reflected on the screen. And somebody even said in this forum that, "Yeah, you can't see the screen during daytime, great phone for VAMPIRE!"

One question for anyone who has this phone..if this phone is only needed as a basic phone for emergencies,and only for talking,other than the screen brightness problem, is it a good phone?? Good reception etc...

You've got mistaken when you said that Nokia2630 has 256K colors. For your information, it only has 65K colors. It only appears to be noticeably brighter than the other models that has a 65K color screen because its display type is TFT(Thin Film Transistor) and this is noticeably brighter than the other diplay types such as CSTN,UBC...

Yeah, i agree with almost all of the peole's complains about this phone. I recommend you to go for the Nokia 3110classic.

I disagree with your recommendation on the Nokia 2630. It's also a nice phone but I had compared it with Nokia3110c and i found Nokia 3110c better in all aspects. N3110c has a 1.3megapixel camera(1280x1024 pixel resolution) that takes sharp and high quality images while the N2630 only have a crappy VGA camera(640x480 pixel resolution).The N3110c also has a MP3,MP4 player while the N2630 doesn't have. And one more, the N3110c's memory is expandable up to 2GB through the Micro SD while N2630's memory is NON-EXPANDABLE. So for other people who really wants value for their money, go for the Nokia 3110classic and not on N2630 and N2610. N3110c cost only a little more than N2630 but not to the highest extent as other phones like Nokia 5300 express music and even cheaper than Nokia 6151.

Yes, don't buy this phone. All its motion quite slow, especially typing the sms, and even make a call as well. I recommend you to buy Nokia 2630. It is worth to buy as the phone memory is with a lot of good function, such like 10 MB internal memory, big sms storage (unlimited, as long as you have free internal memory, 1 MB = 1000 sms), bluetooth (very good features which allow you transfer and receive the mp3 you like), big storage phone book (1000 entries!), 256k colour display screen, compactible camera (0.3 MB) and video record, yea, definitely, it is so slim, just 9.9mm, very nice of its design!..... It's really worth to buy for those who prefer user-friendly handset. I guarantee you will be satisfied for purchasing it! he price is just 30% higher than Nokia 2610.
Remember, you won't suffer for using this phone with just this low price! Deserve it :)!!

This phone is horrible! I got it for free but had to commit to a two-year contract with my provider -- what a mistake!
1. I can't see anything on the screen unless I'm in a dark room.
2. It blacks out (don't know the correct terminology for this, sorry) after about two seconds (very annoying!).
3. The audio volume is weak and I can't figure out if it can be turned up (I can't hear anyone on the other end unless I'm in a quiet room, and forget hearing anyone outside).
4. The ring volume is too low -- I have it on maximum and still can't hear it unless it's right next to me.
I'd rather pay money and get something I can actually use! When my two-year contract is up, I'm changing phones AND providers for giving me this garbage!

I am considering buying such a phone as I only make calls and sms. Some people say it is slow to sms. Anyone else to confirm this?
