Hi, I've been using this phone for the past 6 months and i'am pretty satisfied with this.
Positives:
1. Good browising speed with preinstalled Opera browser
2. Battery stays more than 2 days on a recharge of 3hrs
3. Excellent voice clarity could make and hear calls even in heavy traffic.
4. Design, colour & Looks
Negatives:
1. Very hard to type msg and no. with its keypad
2. Slow processor

First thing to do would be to back up all your contacts and messages (either using Nokia PC Suite, or the backup function on the phone and backing up to your memory card).
Then, try performing a 'soft' software reset - try typing in (or calling, I guess) #*7780*, and then follow the instructions.
If that doesn't fix the issue, you can search for 'Nokia Software Updater' and do a 'hard' reset. If you connect your phone (specific USB cable required) to your PC, and search for updates using that software, it will tell you none are available. But it will give you the option to reinstall the software.
Try the first option before the second option... one of those should work.
If neither do, it's either a hardware fault or something that is likely unresolvable.

It's a awsome phone.this phone play youtube videos and you can download apps and games at ovi store this is invild feature in this handset.Browsing internet is fast exprince the great feature of 3G.

plz telll meee........ moreI've just checked the Ovi Store (the Nokia Store - http://store.ovi.com/content/20924), and Skype is not compatible with this phone.
Sorry, you won't be able to install Skype on this phone.
The reason is probably that the phone is too weak to handle Skype.

The best Nokia mobile that I've ever used is a Nokia 2730 classic, its never been so simple & easy to use mail & any internet based options on a phone, besides I've a question to be asked, probably those who know about it can help me out. The IM (Instant Messaging) option on my Nokia 2730 classic has got some problems, its no more working.. hope someone can help me out...

Please am from GHANA,ijust had a Nokia 2730 classic from AUSTRALIA with IMEI 359370/03/874058/9 and 0591371 as its code but unfortunately i can not get the restriction code to be able to use it here in Ghana, could you please help me out with the RESTRICTION CODE?

Problem is fixed, nimbuzz and ebuddy , even youtube is now connecting perfectly, just a simple workarround with the internet setting.
the only disadvantage of this mobile is the keypad, whick leaves a sore feeling on your finger after using frequently, and the blue tooth, which is always having problem connecting to other paired device and even makes the mobile restart when trying to send some file via bluetooth.

I am using nokia 2730c. It so pleasant to use. Internet is awesome. High speed downloding from other 3G phones. Good phone buy it. Internet 'Streaming' setting is set but "you tube" still not work someone please guide me.

Farhan, 30 Jun 2011Check your application settings.i set the application to "always allow", checked the java script settings to 'enabled',the access point is jawalnet because im in KSA, my phone has enough credit to use, still the problem is 'connecting failed', thanks for the tip though.

There's no separate option for setting d alarm volume. It is dependent on the Ringtone Volume of ur current profile.

Unfortunately, no, this doesn't support Skype of any sort. It has pretty weak hardware. Paired with the Opera Mini Browser, you should find an acceptable web experience.
But, no, no support for Skype.
