The stereo front speakers are good. They can be very loud when listening to music or watching a movie. However I noticed that turning on the equalizer in google play music app lowers the volume, so I suggest turning off the equalizer. The sound quality is still very good without the equalizer settings. Another thing I noticed is that for ringtones, alarms, notification sounds and speakerphone only the botttom speaker is used. Which means that these sounds are not very loud, in fact the ringtone volume at max setting is not very strong. There is also no split screen mode because of Android Go limitation.

This is an Android Go version phone. Go version is supposed to be lighter and efficient with meagre hardware. Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 1 are examples for same - low memory and 1 GB ram, yet highly efficient with normal tasks.
All those who complain and compare it with others are ones who have terribly misunderstood the Android Go phones.

It is a good phone. The battery is awesome and the display too. The shortcomings are the ram and storage (8gb) . Camera is good with a third party camera app. Internet bowsing is super fast It is a good deal. *Not for gamers and heavy users*

Looks great, shame it doesn't work.
The handset will not send messages unless you clear the cache, clear the data, force stop the app. In that order.
On contacting support they recommended I seek a refund.

The main camera is 720P 30fps? It should be 1080P 30fps!

a strange phone 5.5 hd 1gb ram 8 gb storage, it would have been better if it had 5-5.2 display 2 gb ram and 16 gb storage, it is a slow brick

If ram and processor and camera is no issue this phone is a class
so basically its for browsing long hours
watching videos long hours
listening to music long hours.
Dont think its for gaming as 1 gb ram
Dont think its for photogrpahy as 8 mp camera
Conclu: big phone in small price ! Good combo

Im a moderate user and im using whatsapp youtube and some light games with it. Im so satisfied with it. Go for it. And the screen size is a huge plus for me :)

MIUI has good track record of updates to all its handsets, including the one at last of its line.
Nokia 2.1 is a good phone too. But Redmi 5A is better.
