Holy shit!
I was ready to buy one Nokia 301, but seeing your reviews about the poor call quality, the keyboard-not-that-good, and the 48 hours battery life (seriously? I have an ooooold Sony Ericsson j220i that holds a week!), I think I will pass!
Thank you guys for giving us your feedback on the phone, I would have been sad buying one and ending disappointed with it.
So sad, I thought this Nokia 301 would have been a great phone. :(
Maybe I'll go with the Nokia 206, you seem to be saying that it has a better call quality and a good keyboard. It has no 3G, but I guess I can do without for a couple years more. I hope it has a good battery life, will have to investigate on this.

So, if I understood correctly, the Nokia 301 has a mono speaker. Does that mean that earphones will play music without different sound for each side? I'm deaf from my right ear and it would be really useful to be able to play music on the 301 without having the issue of hearing only half of the sound. Thanks in advance for the answer! :)

I think old nokia phones are better and best when compared to new ones ! features need to be updated but not to be omitted by saying enhanced design ! If there is no adobeflashlite in this mobile means how can it plays youtube videos ? Nokia degrading itself by launching new phones with poor features !

danny, 24 May 2013Nokia 206 has better call quality and well designed keypad ... moreIt's shocking to me that a 2g phone (nokia 206) has better call quality than a 3.5g HDvoice phone (nokia 301).
If that is true, then it is clear that nokia has done something wrong. Perhaps the cause is a bad design of 301, or perhaps a defect in hardware, or perhaps a defect in software (this last cause could be easily fixed by a software upgrade).
Anyway, nokia shouldn't offer 301 until call quality will be equal or better than 206's.
