Nokia 301 is a very nice device but there are 2 major problems: audio voice quality and battery life.

The specifications are very good. Especially the 3g net, the 256 mb rom, the Duel SIM facility, the finger-full key board are really practical and very easy on heavy duty operation. This mobile may immediately be released in South India, which is not yet available. I am waiting for this NOKIA 301.

So, here's how it looks at the moment:
Single SIM (3G 900/2100) - RM-840
Dual SIM (3G 900/2100) - RM-839
- are both available online.
Still no evidence of the 'Single SIM (3G 850/1900) - RM-841' device anywhere.

I am quite sad too.
I am a long time Nokia Fan and I really expected 301 to be a new "no non-sense". Too bad.

I wonder if we can turn the secondary SIM off while it is inserted in the slot. Because my secondary SIM is used only for calling but not for receiving calls, I don't need to leave it on standby when I'm not calling. If I can't turn it off while it is in the slot, then I'll have to slip it in and out of the slot quite often. That's some kind of a hassle for me.

Holy shit!
I was ready to buy one Nokia 301, but seeing your reviews about the poor call quality, the keyboard-not-that-good, and the 48 hours battery life (seriously? I have an ooooold Sony Ericsson j220i that holds a week!), I think I will pass!
Thank you guys for giving us your feedback on the phone, I would have been sad buying one and ending disappointed with it.
So sad, I thought this Nokia 301 would have been a great phone. :(
Maybe I'll go with the Nokia 206, you seem to be saying that it has a better call quality and a good keyboard. It has no 3G, but I guess I can do without for a couple years more. I hope it has a good battery life, will have to investigate on this.
