    Strange problem!. I have upgraded to v.6.01 from v.5.50. The PTT function was removed from the menu. Just yesterday, i felt the need to restore factory settings. Then after i did that, i entered the default 12345 code. Then my phone restarted for it to take effect. When the phone turned on once again, the menu now included the PTT eventhough it was removed with the v.6.01. It was like the 5.50. But when i check my s/w version, it is v.06.01. Please help..

              I'm enjoying v.06.01! Thanks rba! Have you observed that the playback time was improved? I mean the battery is more stable in discharging! Restarts also NEVER EVER happened anymore! No more lags when putting more than 300 songs in the music player! You guys and gals must go for an update as soon as possible! Bye!

                @RBa.
                you can activate the blinking lights for messages and missed calls in ver 05.50 by going to Settings ... Profiles .... General (or other)... Personalise ... Scroll down to Light effects: click to turn on or off. ... There you are.

                  No RBa's phone is not fake or anything, and it is surprising because the mode of messaging is not an option. It is just there. Well u probably missed it altogether... and now there is no way of going back to 5.50, so just stop worrying and enjoy version 06.01.... anyway the upgrade should be really good.

                    i dont know but this method surely works for restart problem
                    if ur phone restarts when u update ur music libray then make sure between those restarts u play any song from ur mmc directly.this actually stops restarting n when u see the music player u actually find all the songs which u intended to update!!
                    this has worked for me

                      @ Ash:
                      I still don't understand why i haven't got the flash message with the previous firmware v.05.50.. I already entered my IMEI code on Nokia's official site and says that my phone is authentic.. Yes the new messaging option is only the Postcard messaging.

                        @ Cruats_t:
                        No, my phone isn't fake and i'm sure of that. I bought mine at Audionet Digital at 2nd level SM City Cebu with a price of 6,390 pesos last Nov25,'07. It is "Made in China" but it got the official Nokia 12month warranty coverage and has the NTC Type Approval beneath the battery compartment.

                            @RBa & fireball
                            Mine is version 5.50 and the Messaging Options are:-
                            Text message
                            Multimedia
                            Multimedia plus
                            Flash message
                            Audio message
                            (The new one seems to be - Postcard)

                              @ fireball:
                              Wait, i'm just confused.. So flash message is already available in the v.05.01? Maybe Nokia removed it with the v.05.50. What do you think?. Because mine was preinstalled with v.05.50 and my messaging options with 5.50 were:
                              Text Message
                              Multimedia
                              Multimedia Plus
                              Audio Message. Now with v.06.01, i got these options:
                              Text Message
                              Multimedia
                              Multimedia Plus
                              Postcard
                              Flash Message
                              Audio Message.

                                @RBa & Fireball
                                Fireball is definitely right about Flash Message with our older firmwares. Mine is 5.50 and his observation is correct. Cheers! I had never tried it... silly me.

                                    Meanwhile, I revitalized this toy, so you can try this, too (for sure you got nothing to lose):

                                    1. Move the content from the MC to the computer or else, using card reader or other phone;

                                    2. Format the MC using other phone;

                                    3. Put the MC into the 3110c;

                                    The phone just blinked like it's going to restart itself again, but it did not. Everything is like it used to be before any restarting problems. I did not believe I'm gonna make it, but I did!
                                    Now I suppose you just have to take care of your MC and organize your MC folders according to instructions posted by other members below, and enjoy, before the V 06.01. is available. Don't forget to share the experience.

                                    Cheers!

                                      Firmware v.06.01 is only available at the Nokia Care Centers as of the moment.. Maybe Nokia's official website still isn't updated.

                                        @ Ash:
                                        Yes, flash messaging is network dependent. Like what i have said, it is basically a text messaging service and you will be charged based on the currently prevailing tariff rates for text messaging of your network provider.
